INTRODUCTION Tanjung Jati “B” coal fired power plant as a steam energy system, requires a thermal conditioner system to maintain steam pressure inside the boiler by maintaining low temperature layer above the turbines. It requires a large and continuous supply of thermal exchange medium to meet that point. The most possible medium is the low temperature of sea water, since it is always available and not expensive. A system to draw sea water to the plant is called Sea Water Intake (SWI) System. Therefore, the existence of a SWI becoming a major part in a coal fired power plant, not only complementary
