I am thinking about going there sometime. I love the pictures of the Croation coast, I love the Mediterranean, and I suppose a vacation there is affordable. :-) - Maitani

dalmatia is one of the most beautiful coastlines of the world, you should go maitani! costwise, croatia can be rather expensive though. visiting there in 2009 and 2011, i noticed that the prices had raised quite a bit in kust 2 years. still, smaller and less popular islands and locations should be cheaper. slovenian coast (well, just a 27 km stretch of land actually :P) is also nice and much cheaper. it is not yet spoilt by tourism but the sea is slightly less nice than croatia. - grizabella

Thanks for your information, grizabella. I feel encouraged to visit Croatia oder Slovenia some time soon. I think the beautiful Mediterranean coast is just what I have missed for too long a time. :-) - Maitani

The Bay of Kotor just south of Croatia is also a wonderful place, though I think you'll find that Croatia is cheap compared to Germany :) - Eivind

Been o Zagreb, never the coast, always seemed too "touristy", perhaps that shouldn't be a criticism :-) - Winckel
