"While it would be great to give livestock and chickens as much comfort as possible, what are the costs? The direct cost of chicken and other affected animals would increase significantly. Many of the vegan or vegetarian supporters would love both sides of the coin for this proposition, but the majority of Californian's do not and probably shouldn't care about the treatment of their food, assuming it's equally safe to consume. I'm not going to get mad at supporters of this proposition, but I hope that Californians are at least aware of the effects this law would have when they vote on it." - McKenzie Bryan
