Hearing from someone about Google's internal "Idea stock market" tool where employees bet on which ideas will flourish, anyone have details?
I've heard of it being more like "voting" for a feature and getting ideas promoted or murdered based on feedback; not sure if it's a true "betting" system. I think it's more a feedback system - Susan Beebe
Tried to push a similar idea internally to not only "invest" shares in an idea, but to track performance and pay out a bonus on results to ferret out great product people...love these mechanisms! Best Buy seemed to have something similar to encourage participation from Geek squad developers too! - Alan Edgett
Don't know, but Pligg is a great open source app for that. Biznik just implemented one for the whole community @ http://ideas.biznik.com - Leif Hansen
Prediction markets are good news, @dtapscott wrote extensively about them in Wikinomics http://is.gd/8vDC - Daniel J. Pritchett

Looking at a weblog and forum for letters of credit; should have known something like that existed.http://www.letterofcreditforum.com/content...
Fons, letters of credit have been and are still used in international trade as a form of risk management. Banks do a lot to find any difference in the LC/s and supporting documentation so negotiations on payments can start and they can improve their profits. - Marcel Ekkel
Marcel, was getting some signals that as part of the financial crisis LC's were harder to get. Part of my China Crisis Watch. This forum seems to confirm that. - Fons Tuinstra
Hi Fons, yup kinds of makes sense as banks are trying to limit their exposure. (Sorry, havent read ur full crisiswatch postings yet) - Marcel Ekkel
