Kenton, when my sour cream gets "chunky" ...as much as I like sour cream, I give in and toss that thing out! ;) O, you mean applesauce. Well, I'm going to find that out soon as I made some and I am going to make some latkes soon (after finals) so I can try them with applesauce on top. One thing I do like to add to my recipe is either finely chopped cooked chicken livers or whatever's left of the turkey giblet gravy along with some minced onions and that kinda makes me want to grab for the sour cream. - Melanie Reed

this one is a little strange, but it works. At home depot in the section with cement and such you will find cardboard tubes that they use for forms for pouring cement columns. The kitties love the tube to play in. They have them in different sizes ranging around the $7 - $15 area. You can cover the outside with contact paper or fabric to make it look nicer. Even carpet remnants if you are ambitious (not so hard around the outside, challenging the put on the inside if you want that). - Rachel Lea Fox

I think that there is a lot more commentary now than 50 years ago, because there are several 24 hour news tv channels, not to mention their websites, and the bazillions of political bloggers. What is interesting is that so many of them focus on the same inane details, like the use of the word "stupidly", where in theory, we could have a much more diverse amount of information on the news. The one on your hip looks like my RubyRoo. The other night RubyRoo climbed on my lap while I was in bed (lying on my back.) Like most cats (I guess?) she likes to push down on "cushy" surfaces with her front paws, alternately one, then the other. @Mark, that's a reflex the kitties have that relates to nursing. It's how they'd press on mama kitty's breasts to get more milk.
