I believe the Fail Whale gets less frequent and Twitter gets better. Meanwhile, there's no doubt if Twitter's smart, they'll make their downtime message more serious to show they're taking the issue seriously. It's time to start talking tough and acting tough.

Louis, unfortunately the fact that they had to disable Replies functionality today (June 25) doesn't improve my opinion.

I can't hate Twitter - I want to, but it keeps pulling me back in ! Perhaps a small monthly fee would sort them out?

Small monthly fee works for me.

Mark - Small monthly fee would shoot them quickly. I still think they have the base to get through the 'bad downtime' press and continue going mainstream. This is one case where there are numerous ways for the money to come (Twitter)

My usage of Twitter is pretty infrequent, I find myself here on FriendFeed mostly. So the Fail Whale doesn't bother me much. But I'd like to use Twitter more. Waiting to see what changes they roll out.
