@jcstearns Why? What makes you think people are in need of a pay-per-view model for magazines?

Actually @McKennaEwen the post about young journos in newsrooms is by @RolandLegrand. Common mistake. http://www.pbs.org/mediash...
@RachelSterne @mathewi I think it has to be a more interactive experience on a tablet, but seems to be missing social elements, comments.
@mathewi Right. Hulu works for watching TV shows you miss. Not sure if there's demand for on-demand magazine content you can find online.
@Bankoff I know Seed isn't all robot-writers, it's just my shorthand for the human/algorithm combo for editorial processing.
@mathewi Hulu has done a ton better than many people thought when they were making fun of it as ClownCo pre-launch.
@mathewi What I'm curious about is whether people need or want a Hulu or iTunes for magazines. How do you make that compelling?
Had dead battery on MacBook Pro that's 18 mos old, not under warranty. Genius Bar guy told me they'd cover it anyhow. Sweet.
@jeffjarvis Seems like there's the same bundle/control element to Comcast-NBC, possibly pulling NBC content into gated TV Everywhere.

@mathewi I was similarly skeptical of the Hulu joint venture when announced but it seems to have succeeded. Why not mags?

@mathewi Why don't you think the iTunes for magazines will work? They'll try to charge too much for formerly free content?
