@michellegreer New MBPs had hard drive issues where they'd periodically freeze. Hardware issue. Make sure you've applied all updates!

I've created a "Batphone" label in Gmail and have a filter with e-mail addresses of people whose messages I don't want to miss. Works nicely
@michellegreer I don't think Apple got a pass. Non-complainers probably haven't had problems (like me, on 4 machines).
