Context is an important issue - and it's something that Facebook really can't control yet.

The ultimate objection is the sneaky way Facebook changed its policy. Twitter has always been open by default. No objection. Facebook wasn't by default open. To make that change in a less than transparent manner is a violation of trust. Trust, rather than privacy, is the more fundamental issue here.
