I've envisioned this as the first true implementation of AI for quite some time. It's good to know that someone is actually putting a project like this together. Other notable projects that I've been keeping my eye on include various 'emulations' of the brain, like Numenta's hierarchical temporal memory (HTM) approach to machine learning.
