For what it's worth, Quakers of all stripes can be really sucky when it comes to dealing with inter-personal conflict (it might be the only thing that unites the different branches--sigh). Do check out the link though: Becky is an Evangelical Friend from Northwest Yearly Meeting and her article is a moving plea to value women's ministry in that context. It's part of a long-running conversation that's had some sort of effect, as she was appointed Northwest's General Secretary of that yearly meeting shortly before the article ran (for non-Friends, that's chief executive of the regional body). I'm sure she has plenty of issues around women's leadership to work through. But the Friends tradition has a better-than-average track record on women (one of the reasons I joined!) and that history can be a conversation starter.
