*Somebody* must like living in Stockton. Kendra, I never said I hated the Central Valley (I don't). Just not all that fond of Stockton. [Then again, Livermore is no more the Central Valley than Berkeley is Half Moon Bay.]

More of you need to visit. We can eat at food carts and drink beer. :)

I want the giant vegan donut from Voodoo again. Also Walt, there was no need to bring Stockton into the mix of a thread about Portland. Also, this is probably my bias and ignorance of living in Berkeley for soon to be 12 years, but Livermore (and similar far out parts of Alameda County) seems more like Stockton/Modesto than it does Berkeley/Oakland. *shrug* What does Half Moon Bay even have to do with it? I'm confused. Oh well... BACK TO PORTLAND!

omg yes i want voodoo donuts and pinball NOW.

(you know, I don't hate living in Stockton. It's not portland or Philly or queens, but it is not a cesspool. People are very friendly. Housing is affordable. I love my job. And the valley is lovely.)

And it's the home of Nick and Nate Diaz.

I apologize for the threadjack (and, MC, I'm referring to old Central Valley city rivalries--if I lived in Stockton, I'd probably like it just fine). Portland's a lovely town (my mother was from Oregon).
- Walt Crawford
lol, Walt, it was just confusing because I was talking about the show Portlandia and not at all talking about the actual city.
- Mary Carmen
Ah. And I was not even aware there was such a show. Limited Basic Cable FTL, I guess.
