Mary Carmen
News from home: Moving Nannie into hospice as she can no longer walk. Things appear to be heading downhill at a rapid pace. I think I'm in shock all over again that this is really happening and that she is dying.

I'm so sorry, Mary. We never get enough time with the ones we love and this is never easy, no matter how poor your loved one's quality of life is. My grandfather had suffered with Alzheimers for years, but I still was devastated when he finally passed away. I wish I could give you a big hug in person, but am sending a big virtual one your way.

Thank you , everyone for your kind words and support. I'm kinda in shock. She was doing okay for a while, but this latest just seems to have happened very quickly. My mom is heartbroken. I'm heartbroken. I don't know. I've lost family members before, but this will be the first person I'm losing who has been there my whole life and who is close. I'm trying to still wrap my head around this.

I'm sorry to hear the news Mary. You and your family and in our thoughts and prayers. Strangely Hospice just started repeatedly calling a friend of mine out of the blue.
