"Wanted to port over my review of Dr. Do from her previous practice. I'm following her to her new one, and all the same kudos apply: Why I love Dr. Do: 1. She figured out that my skin problem wasn't…"

"Zeon has a trait that's all too rare in stylists: he gives you exactly what you ask for. He communicates with you about what you want, he tells you what his plan is for cutting your hair, and then…"

Interesting how a seemingly unrelated exercise can affect a bad habit. This 'executive function' business is intriguing. I seem to also remember a study that showed people make better long-term decisions when they need to pee — something about the same mental forces that keep you from pissing all over yourself (sort term thinking, that would be!) keep you thinking longer-term about other things, too. http://critical-thinkers.com/2011...

"Your previous post on the Pomodoro method enticed me to try it. I, too, am finding it's hard to force myself to take a break. I second whoever suggested 'wash dishes,' however. I've found that cleaning/organizing things helps me feel that I'm continuing to be productive — just in a different way than my usual, computer-bound work. Most break-time activities, on the other hand, make me feel like I'm wasting time. I don't want a 'break,' really — I just want to switch it up. Looking forward to trying some of the others on your list! P.S. I'm not getting Health Month reminder emails, so I keep failing to check in. I'm signed up for them. Did you guys stop offering them?"
