@roidrage Good point! Thanks. :)
In particular, @dannorth's BDD & DDD: http://www.infoq.com/present... and @metajack's talk on XMPP & Strophe: http://www.infoq.com/present... - both great talks!
Having a duvet day. So far, I've watched @topfunky's jQuery screencast and a couple of @infoq presentations. What should I watch next?
@craigwebster @abdels @paulanthonywils @alancfrancis @relativesanity @cmdcentral I'd love to but think we're away at one family or t'other.
@leapingfrogs w00t! :)
@paulanthonywils one day, I know I'll know what you mean. I should fix that. :-/
@IAC_Heather Amen to that. T-1h 'til we're off to the pub. :)
I could swear that's about the fiftieth pivotal tracker story I've seen fly by with "(one last change)" in the subject. :-)
@broonie Woo! I think we're about to head there now. At least Mark's just finished up a story and I'm fed up with this one. :)
@nevali I would love to know the answer to that very question. I've tried a couple of times in the past and failed miserably.
@roryf xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx new version. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
@IAC_Heather I've yet to find a client who uses PT as effectively as you. Or at all, really, for that matter. It's awesome to see. :)
Just hit ctrl-alt-cmd-R instead of -D in TextMate and now "RDaemon is starting..." I think it may be bootstrapping Skynet. Sorry, folks.
@broonie I hear a rumour you may be joining us in Staggs for a swift 'alf after work?
Awesome presentation on Ruby debugging techniques. Most of it applies to more than just Ruby: http://www.scribd.com/doc... (via @craigwebster)
@th_in_gs 85% exactly, eh? Well, he must have run the app at least 20 times. :)
Right, that's more than enough MySQL fiddling for one day (I hope). maatkit (MySQL utilities) is pretty useful stuff.
@alancfrancis Or beaten to death by the followers of the millions of folks who buy your app? ;-) (Just kidding, congrats on another ship!)
@peterhay I hear you're looking for awesome office Christmas trees: http://bestc.am/G3y The @rubaidh Christmas tree is up already.
Ex-client who got fired (partly) 'cos he delayed paying bills is in a hurry now he claims to have paid. Shame I can't verify 'til Monday.
@Alshie Nope, \n was the traditional end-of-statement character in the BASIC variants I recall.
@relativesanity Gave up on Squarespace? How come?
Bother, I managed to forget about yet another #edcm. Can't wait 'til the East Lothian Coffee Morning starts in January. http://www.linkedin.com/groupAn...
@relativesanity I love the visualisation of breaks in history too. All nice touches.
Malcolm is running after Benjy (one of our cats) yelling, "that's naughty!" This is not a good sign.
@jarrodtrainque Aww, sweet, a site that says "Welcome to the world wide web,". :) What, there's more?
@MikeG1 Heinz have you under non-disclosure?
@alancfrancis 1) Some ISPs provide really crappy, slow DNS servers because they are run by idiots. 2) DNS cache poisoning.
@brett_sheffield Chances are your own resolver will have to ask an upstream. Their reasoning is their caches already know the answer.
@brett_sheffield Giving up Google? That'd be like giving up Wikipedia for resolving workplace arguments (and providing further digressions)!
