Depends what you're using it for. If you're writing serious code, BBEdit is good though others have other favorites. If you're doing primarily web development and a medium amount of real coding (Python/PHP/Perl/etc) then I really like Coda. - Kevin Fox

I seem to be in the know. ;-) However I should add that the "user research" is generally worthless and a waste of everyone's time. The UX in me wants to school them on methodology, but the bastard in me just wants to finish whatever I'm working on. - Matte
