Matt thinks nothing says, "I care!" like a "happy new year" e-card, 4 days late, from vresp.com. Thanks, Phil Kyle @ Infinitive.com! I care about you, too. Actually, on second thought, no, I really don't.
Matt wishes oh so very badly he'd been there to see Rachel (who hates birds) first be swarmed by parrots while walking through World of Parrots at KL Bird Park, then get bitten on the knee by a stork at the Waterfall Aviary. Did I mention she hates birds? She hates birds. And, apparently, birds can sense her fear. Like sharks. Awesome.
Matt really couldn't be gladder he wasted none of his life this NFL season by watching the make-sociopaths-rich-again, just-laid-an-egg-in-Dallas Eagles.
Matt can barely contain his joy at having the family here in KL. How wonderful is it to look forward to seeing them tonight, rather than cramming a day's worth of updates into a 40-minute phone call? "It goes to 11."
Matt is totally not used to seeing the family in what had become familiar but family-free surroundings in Kuala Lumpur -- it's a strange contextual shift. In an unrelated note, I wonder who will become my 1,000th FB friend? Only three more to go...
