"You can activate any vzw smart phone on your account without affecting your grandfathered data plan. Doesn't matter where you got it, your mom, eBay, full retail price... It's the act of "purchasing" not activating a subsidized phone from Verizon that causes you to lose it. When you purchase the subsidized phone they make you sign a new contract and choose a new limited plan. So buying a subsidized on your mom's account won't affect your account. What may be a problem is if you're mom purchases a subsidized phone then cancels Verizon and doesn't fulfill her contract they may lock the esn of that phone."

mattgup on Incognito Sherriff's dept. volunteers burst into small Oregon highschool during teacher's meeting, firing blanks at unprepared staff to 'test readiness' - http://www.reddit.com/r...
"Did anyone, including the OP actually read the article? Nowhere does it say this was carried out by the sheriff's department. "an assault by "active shooters" who were, in reality, members of the school staff." It says the teachers received active shooter training from the sheriff's department and it appears that this was set up by the principal to test what they learned."

"There's two problems... 1. As had already been pointed out, getting emulation to work is hard. 2. Your security card is most likely encrypted so your phone can't read it to emulate it. There may even be a third problem: different rfid systems operate on different frequencies and I'm not sure nfc can operate on all of them."

"Repligo PDF is a little expensive but it's the best PDF reader I've used and I've tried all the big ones. I like ezPDF too (better than Adobe) but not as much as Repligo. It's been so long since I switched I don't remember the differences."
