@angeldominguez The UK and Spain seem to share education problems, at least to the extent that everyone complains and politicians meddle.
@grahunt No chance. Too much business and jobs destruction already for things to pick up in 12 months. They'll still be unwinding.
@offshorebroker This is the article in ABC about Moratinos and Gibraltar: http://www.abc.es/2009070...
I would like two more buttons on Twitter: 1) what links have my friends posted overnight and 2) what have they said about 'xxxx'?
Fascinating reading Spanish tweets with minute-by-minute updates as Zelaya's plane tries to land in Honduras.
RT: @DaniloNogueira @kvashee: @RenatoBeninatto gives an interesting interview on what quality really means in translation http://lapsustranslinguae.wordpress.com/2009...

@grahunt @thisisspain it won't last long, wait until after the summer and it will all start falling apart.
Conservative Deputy PM of Canary Islands says Catalonia will become the 'Phillipines of 22nd century' with strange mix of languages.
Moratinos will become first Spanish Foreign Secretary to set foot in Gibraltar on 21 July for three-way meeting over future of the Rock.

@ryanopaz Ah, ok, that's a nearly impossible one to solve in this heat! A nap will help you clear your thoughts on the issue.
@ryanopaz How about as a percentage of entry fee per attendee? 500 attendees x 250€ entry fee x 10% or something like that.
@ryanopaz What's the project about?

What your customers understand as quality when they buy from you is not necessarily what you understand.
@DenaShunra Wise words; I'll have to write a couple of blog posts about all this.
@DenaShunra I think it can be applied to take into account customer behaviour over the complete cycle of planning - translation - payment.
@DenaShunra Yes, something like that. Lots of subtle possibilities to think about.
How could you use the pricing of your translation services to help high quality clients find you?
Maybe when customers say they won't pay for translation quality, they're subtley admitting the quality of the original text isn't worth it.
