Ok.. clearly I missed this as it is now older than dust (by social internet standards)... but this is outrageous!! If you missed this video, you gotta go check it out... you will get a seriously good laugh. - Matt Shaulis

“Why doesn't FriendFeed show the dates when a comment was left? (They get it right on some of the blog widgets, even though some say 1969, but not here at the hub... why is that?)”
Participating in something like a "Twit-Out" reeks of *schadenfreude* ... (the only twit-outs i participate in are the one's imposed by Twitter themselves... hehehe) - Matt Shaulis
That's one of those words where, if you know it, you think it's in common usage and are genuinely surprised when someone doesn't, but if you don't know it, you've never heard anyone use it ever. I love it! There was some logic to the twit-out; like an intervention for Twitter, but it really just resulted in a big group hug on Friendfeed. - Mark Trapp
I'd never heard it before today... I'll even admit that I had to sit there reading the phonetics over and over to get the pronunciation... lol... I like it though (and have since seen it on another site today... wish i could remember where... coincidence...) - Matt Shaulis
I've mentioned this before... but this is something so important. The first time I ever need to use a share icon I will be utilizing the "Open Share Icon" and encourage others to do the same. Nextumi and ShareThis got it all wrong. (Not to mention, I think the Open Share Icon is a much better visual representation of "Sharing" something.) - Matt Shaulis
now that's a cool looking plane! Who needs windows? just give us wifi and we'll be cool with the "no windows" thing. (That's a flying wing comment, not an OSX comment.) - Matt Shaulis
I wish this had not happened... :( I realize people are already pretty edgy given one of our favorite services (twitter) is hit or miss for a while... people like me should be doing everything we can to keep our services up to the level our users are used to... so I would like to personally apologize for this screw-up. Hopefully most people were ready to mark all as read after an extended holiday weekend anyway... but that's still no excuse. Sorry. - Matt Shaulis
“Can anyone recommend a solid MySQL admin appliction that runs on the (OSX) desktop? CocoaMySQL is not near suitable. (Needn't be free.) Borwser solutions are no longer optimal, any advice/suggestions would be appreciated!”
Sure is a nice looking website... but yeah, I don't see why I personally wouldn't head on down to the physical store. (Borders is great, just can't get that experience online.) - Matt Shaulis
Louis, and some other FriendFeeders, took a little liking to a GoogleReader + FriendFeed bookmarklet that I put together to give Louis a little "tease" of getting an intertwined Reader experience inside of FriendFeed... Unfortunately, this doesn't satisfy the true desires of all the cool features Louis (and others) wants... but those die hard FriendFeeders may never have to leave the site again. lol. - Matt Shaulis
Nice bit of code, Matt. :-) A fun little trick. - Louis Gray
I was able to modify your Bookmarklet to get it to work with Digg, Disqus, and Twitter, as well: http://itafroma.tumblr.com/pos... I tried Facebook also, but it didn't work so well. Seems like you should just be able to modify the URI in the javascript. Very neat trick, nonetheless. - Mark Trapp
Ah, this isn't quite what I thought it was. I thought it was a FriendFeed & GReader mashup working with FF friends. I prefer to have both open in separate tabs so I can use both at once. - Tanath
Tanath, I wish it did work with FriendFeed friends. That would be very cool in my opinion. Some day, maybe. - Louis Gray
Perhaps (with a bit of progress) if FF joins Open Social, that may happen. - Tanath
A MUCH better icon to support than the "sharethis"... I've been urging people to stay away from ShareThis and their icon, they are simply being deceptive about the regulations regarding the icons use... this icon is not only safe to use, it is a much MUCH better visual representation of "share" anyway... I'm throwing my support behind this community effort... very happy to see someone acting out assertively against ShareThis. - Matt Shaulis
I wonder how C-Net would have responded to the email. Certainly they'd have greeted and given salutation, as the same respect was extended towards them... Nightmare Team is more like it... lol... j/k ;) - Matt Shaulis
I think this note opened the door for a 3rd party agency that does reprints to offer a quote. If there's an opportunity to make money, why not do it? - Louis Gray
I giggled, then realised that the purpose of the article's post on CrunchNotes was to show "whos the cool dude that can laugh at other business people". Why not a simple reply of "Sorry, could you please clarify?". Eurgh I'm starting to become tired of Egos 2.0 :-( - Matt Harwood
@MattHarwood totally agree. couldn't he have at least blacked out her name? Valleywag did the same thing to a friend of mine several months ago. Remember when mistakes weren't broadcasted around the world? - Carla Thompson
I'm not a fan of his take on all the issues, but I like Huckabee as a person... he seems, to me, very real ... and not as _______ as typical conservatives tend to be. (you fill in the blank, so many perfect words... hehe.) - Matt Shaulis
