In typical Sun News fashion, they try something cool (making a video) and blow the experience in the execution (a crappy Flash player that you can't rewind or know how long the video is)

This may be one of the scariest pictures I've ever seen. It looks like that rock on the driver's right hand side is going to send him over any second.

I had a accident yesterday ,,, $6000.00 ,,, it kinda hurts ... looks like im car shopping after Christmas
- johnpiercy
What stinks is my car is a 2004 with less than 45K miles on it and no accidents... until now. Ah well.
- Paul Reynolds

Once again, I made the mistake of being the first poster on a "it's my birthday!" Facebook status update and I'm paying the price. PS Facebook: just because I "like" something doesn't mean I want to be a part of the conversation that follows.
I am slowly learning not to click like in FB.
- Mike Nencetti
Well the paradox is, I actually do want email notifications for some things. But usually not on ones I "like".
- Paul Reynolds
And then there's the Happy Birthday thing. I wished there was a little link that appeared beside the Delete link in my comment that would let me not get notifications for that thread. Maybe "Mute"?
- Paul Reynolds
Under the notification settings, you can turn off email notifications for things that you just "like". It's really fine-grained control, actually. All it's missing is the ability to toggle updates on or off for a particular item.
- James (@willia4)
I saw the bajillion notification settings, but nothing pertaining to like?

""I made that call on March 19. That's the day my life fell apart," said Norman, 40, who claims she lost her home and her financial security and attempted suicide before testifying against her husband last month in Wayne County Circuit Court."

I'm usually the bleeding heart on these type of things, but the fact she's a registered nurse licensed in 2 states and her son is 12 years old (so he likely doesn't need after-school care) makes me feel less sorry for her current situation. But that judgment is all based on a very short article.
- Paul Reynolds
I don't understand from the article why she feels she needs something like witness protection. The whole article was convoluted. It seems like she was aware of some deep problems with him very early in their marriage. Obviously, there is more to this situation than what is talked about in the article.
- Junebug (aka Sarah Jill)
Yeah, I didn't get the witness protection thing, either.
- Michelle Martinez
I'm wondering if she's being harassed by people her husband knew maybe? I could understand that being a possibility. And they kept mentioning domestic abuse, so I wonder if she was being abused in some way. I do hope she can get her life straightened out.
- Junebug (aka Sarah Jill)
To me this whole story read like somebody at the Detroit News has an axe to grind with somebody at the County Prosecutor's Office and this was their receipt. I could be wrong, but it just seems like there is more to the whole story and not just to the subject matter of the story.
- Derek Coward
I had that same problem was @leolaporte. I had to re-follow to get it to show.
- Nolan Alston
Hmm. It looks like there are millions of Twitter feeds I'm not showing up in.

And by minions, I of course mean Fee.

Will you guys let me know if I pop back into your timelines over the next few days? It was a known issue and they've been working on the fix.
- Veronica
Veronica: last i see on the public timeline was your comment about answering as eric cartman. I'm obviously not counting your replies :)
- Carlos Urrutia
Your most recent comment came through :)

Reflecting on the #mbgeekout more today. It was awesome seeing so much enthusiasm. There really were no wall flowers and people were fully embracing their inner geek. I think we'll have another mixer or two just to get most people introduced, but a majority of attendees would like more structure for presentations and sharing projects/ideas.
