I'll double cheek, but I think Thursday would be good for me.

If it is nice out, we could go to the seafood place in the park: http://seasalteatery.wordpress.com/. Then, you could hear Janet say "Minnehaha". The fried oysters are yummy.
- maʀtha
There's lots of other great choices of restaurants, of course.
- maʀtha
Fred has suggested that earlier might be better for us than later just because of our trek to Eau Claire. Do we want to eat in the Cities or outside of them? Where will everyone be coming from?
- LB: #TeamMonique
Martha? Lisa? Where will you be? (I know where Iris works. Bwahahahaha.)
- LB: #TeamMonique
I'll be coming from Maple Plain. I work until 7, at least, on Tuesdays, though. This does not bode well for Fred's suggestion of an earlier dinner. :( I will happily buy LB & Fred a coffee or two for the road if y'all stick around long enough for me to squeeze your guts out. :D
- Lisa | #TeamMonique
from FFHound(roid)!
I think we can meet early for everyone else, and talk bad about Lisa until she gets there. Then we can be nice to her after she gets there.
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
The drive up Highway 61 from Eau Claire is lovely. I'd suggest Mai Village in St Paul but light rail construction on University Ave is awful #nexttime
- WarLord
That sounds about right, Ha3rvey... You're lucky you're so darn cute. Almost as cute as I am. :P Seriously, though, y'all do what you have to do, but know that LB & Fred are not allowed to depart until I, at least, get to squeeze them.
- Lisa | #TeamMonique
from FFHound(roid)!
Any further suggestions on where to dine? Fred and I will start our day at the airport and Mall of America.
- LB: #TeamMonique
I work until 6 PM near downtown St. Paul.
- maʀtha
So, it takes about 2 hours to get from Minneapolis to Eau Claire, so Fred and Laura probably want to leave around 8 (as soon as they've been squeezed, that is). So we should plan on getting to a restaurant around 6 or 6:30 (if we choose the earlier time, we can hold a seat for Martha). So that's half a plan. The other half is where to meet, and on this I'm entirely indifferent and unknowledgeable, so someone else will have to suggest a place.
- lris
Can we shoot for 6 and save seats for Martha and Lisa?
- LB: #TeamMonique
I was going to suggest one of Martha's favorites, the Midtown Global Market, but then I remembered that this would mean a lot of wandering to choose food and therefore relatively less time all sitting together. Other than that, though, I won't be able to actually EAT wherever we go, so I probably shouldn't choose. :-)
- lris
Other than the seafood thing mentioned above, I'm not terribly picky.
- LB: #TeamMonique
People who actually eat in the cities, I'm disappointed in you! Here's what I propose: if someone who eats in the cities regularly tells us where to go, we'll do that, meeting at 6pm and saving places for Martha and Lisa. If they don't, we'll meet at the Punch at Lake Calhoun: Address at Calhoun Village Shopping Center 3226 W Lake St Minneapolis MN 55416 612.929.0006
- lris
Harvey and Huntur have already been to Punch once last week, but I'm fresh out of ideas. So. People who actually eat in the cities, please feel free to chime in, as long as you do it before Laura goes to bed tonight (since she'll be traveling early tomorrow).
- lris
Tonight I shall have soft serve with an olive oil drizzle for dinner. So excited, y'all! I love arriving in time for dessert... and for all of the squeezing. :D
- Lisa | #TeamMonique
from FFHound(roid)!
Okie dokie, I'll get there as soon as I can, which will likely be closer to 7
- maʀtha
Unless I get a massive surge of energy, I'm afraid I'll have to miss tonight after all. Stupid energy crashes. Harumph.
- lris
Just booked flight. I'll be So. Cal for a week starting June 2 on the occasion of my mom's retirement. A Friendfeed meet up is likely a real possibility for me. #feedup#meetup Just sayin'.
Wild and crazy times right here: http://friendfeed.com/micahwi... , for the uninitiated (there was also an even older Disney meetup with chrisofspades (and his beyond cuteness daughter) and Krinsky, but search isn't helping me find it).

Loku.com Follow @loku on Twitter for all of our SXSW plans See ya'll there!
I realize this could be a really ugly drive from up this way. I suppose we could have something up here, too, if anyone is free. I'm behind on meeting all of you.
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
I'd love to meet you, but I can't drive that far on a weeknight. Maybe next time! If you do meet in LA, I'm definitely down.
- Anika
Well, like I said, we could have something up here, too. I want to meet all of you. The rest is details.
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
3, when you say "up here", where is that?
- Corinne L
My hotel's in Culver City, but I have a rental car and I'm not afraid to use it.
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
Would definitely love to meet you. Logistically, here is what I'm working with: I live in Pomona, work in Irvine from 9-6, pick up by daughter in Pomona by 7. I could work from home Wednesday. That would open things up quite a bit.
- chrisofspades
So Wednesday works for you? That would be great for me. Honestly, I don't even care what we do.
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
What's your schedule like with work?
- chrisofspades
Pretty much 8-5. I may have to stay a little late Wednesday since I have have early flight Thursday, but I can probably go in early.
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
Actually, I might stay a little late tomorrow just for insurance. I don't want to miss this possible meetup.
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
Okay we should be able to make something happen. I'm looking at a map trying to see what would make the best sense haha.
- chrisofspades
Dang, Chris, your commute is not the business. :(
- Derrick
Yeah, D, it's far. But I take the toll roads so I don't hit too much traffic.
- chrisofspades
Lnor suggested Long Beach as a middle point. Anaheim might be better. Well, for me anyway.
- chrisofspades
I've got transpo and stamina issues so I can't easily get beyond the Pasadena area. I can make it into H'wood on Metro Rail Red Line. Don't hold up on my account. p.s. I do not envy Chris his commute.
- Spidra Webster
DB, hate to burst your bubble but Snoop lives in Diamond Bar now haha.
- chrisofspades
I can do Anaheim, depending on time of day. PS Daryl, Snoop lives out in the 'burbs where I grew up. He's a coach of my friend's kid's football team.
- Anika
You never know. Maybe you could catch him visiting his momma 'an'nem.
- DB, Just DB #TeamMonique
I have no idea, Anika. I don't know the area at all. Can any of you suggest any places to meet?
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
Anaheim! Awesomesauce. I know zillions of places. Gimme a head count time and I can throw out some ideas.
- Lnorigb
from FFHound!
Whenever I do meetups in Anaheim, we always wind up at Downtown Disney. I much prefer heading a bit east and going to The Block, but I'm usually in the minority, so whatever the group says...
- Anika
Hrm... D&B doesn't have great food, but I usually keep a loaded game card on me. :)
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
Do we have a time? I can do D&B...the food there and at the Arcadia location is usually good during the week. :) I also have a couple of cards here.
- Anika
from FFHound!
We're set for 6pm D&B at The Block? Do we have a headcount? Anyone make reservations? FWIW, assuming Adrian is coming, that means all 4 of us will be there.
- Anika
from FFHound!
I'll pick Jake up at 5pm in Anaheim and be there before 6pm. I can get in early with the headcount and put in our name
- Just Kidée: Road Warrior
Katie, Chris are you bringing your kids? Adrian has a hearing, so won't be coming. If you guys aren't bringing hour kids I'll see if someone can watch mine.
- Anika
from FFHound!
I have a Planning Commission hearing that starts at 7 but should over by 7:20 maybe. Won't be able to get there until probably close to 7:45 or 8.
- Adrian
Yep. Jake will be with me per usual. Have no where else for him to go :)
- Just Kidée: Road Warrior
You know, I didn't really ask if that's ok. Are we doin' an adult dinner out or are the kidlets cool too?
- Just Kidée: Road Warrior
He's about Alton's age, right? Then I'll bring my minions; 3 for me.
- Anika
from FFHound!
Yep. I was telling him that the last time they all played together was like what....2 or 3 years ago now?
- Just Kidée: Road Warrior
Yeah...something like that. It 2009 I think. We still have Jake's shovel. :)
- Anika
from FFHound!
I think I might make it, if there's room for one more!
- Jaclyn aka spamgirl
That's 12....I'll call later and see if they take a reservation or if I should just make it there earlier to get a table
- Just Kidée: Road Warrior
Wish I could make it. I will be up in Marina del Rey/Santa Monica until around 8 pm. Let me know if you stop back at the Culver City hotel for a drink.
- Amani
I really appreciate the offers for rides and such but there are several limitations I have that make it difficult even with the help of a ride to Anaheim. I very much appreciate all the offered help, though!
- Spidra Webster
hey 3, maybe deleting the Lnor blahblah and adding the facts as we know them up there would help?
- Lnorigb
Hrm. I suppose you've got a point there, Lnor. Let's see...
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
Ugh, sorry but my back has me on the floor for the time i'm not sitting up to work from home right now. Please win many plastic tiny toys in my honor.
- SteVe C
FWIW, I'd be really stoked if Victor came down. So stoked his 1st drinks on me.
- Lnorigb
from FFHound!
I'm on my way to LA! I know this is short notice, but I would love to meet some of my SoCal friends. I'll arrive today, and leave Thursday. I'll be working Tue and Wed, so I hope we can plan some sort of impromptu meetup one evening this week.
Barring major financial accidents, I'm planning on being in the Bay Area again Sept 13 - 23 or so. The 13 - 15 I will be in the Santa Rosa area for the Heirloom Expo. I will probably be most available for FFeedups the 19th - 23rd. I'll be in the East Bay for sure on the 19th because I'm meeting someone for a late lunch.
I still don't know if I'm working then, late that day or early the next morning.
- Anne Bouey
Thanks, Anne. I'm just anxious to get things tied down because I don't have internet on my phone which means I'll only sporadically be able to check FF and email once I'm on the road. But you have my phone #.
- Spidra Webster
Alright, I'm getting my ass on the road up there within the next hour.
