By opening about:config in your Firefox address bar, then typing browser.sessionstore.interval in the filter box, you'll see a value of 10000, which is in milliseconds. (Meaning your session is saved every 10 seconds.) I changed this to 300000, or every 5 minutes, as I don't have the urgent need for tab restoration.

Here are the facts people: * $7000.00 in ppc revenue can’t be wrong. * All my incoming traffic comes from posts concerning piracy. * I have wasted almost two years with no revenue. * The number one rule of writing is still: Write what you know. * The number one rule of effective SEO is still: Write quality content.

Wired's Threat Level blog has the story of Torrent Droid, a new Android app that lets you scan DVD-case bar-codes with your phone, looks up the title, and remotely starts a torrent download of the title on your home machine. The use-case on Threat Level is a someone out shopping, shooting bar-codes of DVDs and having them ready to watch when he gets home

Yes, Vzw is finally releasing their touch pro this month. Yahoo and joy abound! But if you don't want a memory crippled phone dealing with vzw locking restrictions and etc (ie keyboard), please take a moment to read through this tutorial. Getting your sprint phone on a vzw network What you will need you will need QPST (google this) Baffles MSL Grabber (you can find it here: http://www.baf.cc/bafmsl you will need .net framework 3.5 installed on your phone) An unlocked Sprint Touch Pro (Raphael Unlocker here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthr...) VZW leaked rom (that you can find here : ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Raphael/Stock%20R...51064_Ship.exe) The most current vzw PRL (Again you can find that here : http://www.corolada.com/prl...) "Thanks for this post Louis. As a blogger who has been away for a while and is looking for tools to get back into the swing of things I need all the help and advice I can get."

It seems that most of the traffic to this post is coming from another post on my blog, most likely because they share the “software piracy” tag. While I’m happy to have readers for whatever reason I think it is important to note that you people are looking for something that in most cases doesn’t work anymore. The belarc advisor search returns mostly garbage these days. Go to a torrent site or a ddl site instead, you will have better luck!

So if you are a blogger who has had to take a long break for personal reasons and had trouble getting your juices flowing again upon your return to the grand old interweb, let me know how!

"Ah memes. I love 'em. I must admit though that the meme of the day, worries over data stored in the cloud, is getting on my nerves. The cloud has always been here. All these services that people are referring to as the cloud are only one small part of the cloud. The cloud is built into the design of the web. Almost all websites are hosted by one company or another. By using services like Disqus we are merely storing different parts in different places. This is not a new idea. This is not a bad idea."

First off, I must say that I think Twitter is far from dead. Certainly not a ghost town. I follow about 180 people and receive ~80 an hour. That being said, I do agree that it should decentralize. Many people have an Idea for a XMPP based system where people would register with Twitter (to avoid name collision) and then subscribe to the nodes they want. The Twitter public timeline would then be handled by rss. This would take the strain off of Twitter and put it where it belongs, the heavy users. I think this is the only way the service can continue to function.

"I use the "Note in Google Reader" bookmarklet as my primary means on sharing. I may not always add a note but I love the functionality of this little bookmarklet. One reason I do add notes is a method of saving my comments. I like to have backups and alternatives. This way even when Disqus is having trouble, I have a method of archiving my contributions to any sites content. I plan on starting a weekly recap of my aggregated web activity as a regular feature on my blog, so I need this data. Also, from a blogging standpoint, I think sharing these things in as many places as possible is a good networking habit."

"This is exactly right. The cloud has been here all along. Unless you have your own privately housed server, your data has been floating in the clouds. My thinking is that if I use the cloud in every way imaginable, i.e. all my comments on Disqus and CoComment (which is something I try to do) then I will have he data somewhere. As opposed to maintaining all my data locally and losing it in a house fire. The cloud is insurance. Do you have enough coverage?"
