I have just met you, and I love you!
Ack. Scheduled first wedding dress fitting. Gymgymgymgymgym.
Today, at my last dress fitting: Me: "Uh, this is too big. I think I lost some weight." Seamstress: "We may not have to take it in. Stop losing weight." My mom: "NO! I think you need to take it in even more. She's going to lose more weight!"
Happy St. Matchrick's Day!
Congrats, Megen, on your wonderful match! - Anne Bouey
Planning our honeymoon: Ben and Megen + Italy = happy tummies.
I fully intended to go to the gym twice today to make up for all of the Hawaiian deliciousness. It is now 9pm, I've done one gym session and am now baking brownies in lieu of the second. Close enough.
I like how you think! - Anne Bouey
I love this elective. However, I feel sorry for Ben, who now has to live with double the neuroses of a medical student/soprano preparing for a recital.
I also feel sorry for our neighbors, since I've been practicing at home. - Megen Vo
I love it when you sing :) - Benjamin Golub
Balsamic glazed salmon, spinach and mashed potatoes. This elective rocks!
Application deployed. Yikes.
Prepping for the week by making enough food to feed a small army. Roasted carrot and tomato soup and assorted grilled veggies.
sounds great! Can I come? - Rachel Lea Fox
Absolutely :-) - Megen Vo

Wedding planning in full-swing: does anyone have suggestions for florists in Rochester (we need a chuppah) and places to find reasonable, fun, non-boring invitations (online or in Rochester)?
Beginning residency application. Commence panic attack.
Good luck! - April Buchheit
Last Sunday relaxing at home for a while; baking a strawberry tart and watching lots of TV.
Who knew I could get up every day at 4:45am and still be functional?
And better yet, have not ended up in the trauma bay after being in a fiery sleep-deprived car crash! - Megen Vo
Shoesofprey.com... dangerous.
Prepping for Souper Bowl Party III!
Where should we go to celebrate my 25th birthday this year? I will have just gotten off of Surgery, and will be going to Poland two weeks later.
Looking for vacation ideas. - Megen Vo
We are young and would like to travel abroad while it's still relatively easy to take time off :) - Benjamin Golub
I'm partial to Thailand, but maybe not good after surgery. I'd probably do Europe or maybe Australia where you still have access to good medicine. - Jesse Stay
Jesse: actually Megen will have been on her Surgery rotation. She isn't having an operation - Benjamin Golub
Scandinavia isn't cheap travel, but it's an often-overlooked part of Europe. I've been to Sweden and Denmark and loved it. If you want cheaper, add some Eastern European countries to your itinerary but check safety reports for various areas, first. - Spidra Webster
OH, okay :-) Then yes, I'm partial to Thailand - visit the southern Phuket (most beautiful beaches in the world), then Bangkok, then up to the luscious green north - ride an elephant up the mountain and through rice fields to a waterfall, see the ring neck ladies, etc. - Jesse Stay
Thailand's very cheap once you get there. Flight is the most expensive part. - Jesse Stay
And if you have time left over, you can visit the ancient Hindu temples on the borders of Cambodia/Thailand. - Jesse Stay
We only have a week - Benjamin Golub
Okay, Cristo, I'll bite...why Arkansas? - Anne Bouey
:) - Anne Bouey
I canoed the Buffalo river in Arkansas - beautiful area. - Jesse Stay
I've always wanted to go to Thailand, but it may be too far to go for just a week. - Megen Vo
Megen, yeah, to get the whole thing in you probably need at least a week and a half. You could get some things in though and go back another time. - Jesse Stay
You guys could come up to Park City, Utah for a ski week :-) - Jesse Stay
If you only have a week and need a change of scenery (e.g. warm, tropical) go to Hawaii. Maui is a good island to visit this time of year. We went last year in February and the weather was warm and the water (although def not at its warmest) is comfortable (I recall Paul spending a lot of time in the water trying to spear fish). It's a hike from ROC, but doable. - April Buchheit
Or, you guys can visit CA and explore around SoCal (I hear a lot of good stuff about San Diego and just around the SoCal coastline). - April Buchheit
I think we've settled on London. Neither of us has ever been, and I really love museums and Jane Austen. - Megen Vo
Check out GeorgianLondon.com She's got some excellent stuff and some of that era is Austen's era. - Spidra Webster
It's definitely soup weather! White bean, kale, and roasted vegetable soup in the works.
Home from the Bahamas, but still minus our luggage. I'm worried about my shoes.
Also, could I possibly be sick yet again? I've been away from patients for a month! - Megen Vo
:( - Anne Bouey
I mostly watch this for the puppies... - Megen Vo from Bookmarklet
Wow, glad my parents never did this to me... - http://www.nytimes.com/2009...
I love vacation. Today: market, shopping, nap, gym, Good Luck for dinner!
It's cold! Making vegetable shepherd's pie and raspberry chocolate macaroons :-)
Our apartment smells crazy good - Benjamin Golub
Chocolate macaroons with chocolate ganache = success!
One good storm and I'm tired of Rochester weather. Maybe that's because Loki and I got locked out of the apartment this afternoon.
:(. Did you have to brush the car off this morning? - Benjamin Golub
No, it was all slushy after you left. West coast, here I come! - Megen Vo
It's not a whole lot warmer here in the Bay Area. It's been so frikkin' cold. Every morning for the past 3 or 4 days has been quite frosty. There's even snow in the mountains and it looks like it's there to stay for a while, which is very unusual, imho. - April Buchheit
Listening to the Glee soundtrack and making lasagna. Awesome.
I super miss being in a choir. Glee makes it a little better. - Megen Vo
It's quite amazing the amount I can accomplish while procrastinating. Desk cleaned, diagnoses and work hours logged, and SF trip planned, now I suppose I should study.
Thanksgiving leftovers running out = time to make more food. Tonight, ciambotta!
To do: apple galette, pumpkin pie, mashed sweet potatoes, mashed regular potatoes, roasted baby potatoes, brussels sprouts with garlic and butter, roasted cauliflower, and stuffing. I love food.
I'm thankful for this :) - Benjamin Golub
