"The way this comment is worded looks like spam to me. Hard to tell though. Spammers are getting smart, and that isn't good. I also thought Disqus was supposed to help prevent spam?" - Adam Teece
I've been using Disqus for a while a I love it. I'm very happy to see them letting you keep your comments on your own blog as well now for portability. - Adam Teece

but I heard the cost of all that was major power consumption, even at rest - Chris Kim A
LittleBigPlanet looks amazing. Maybe Sony has some hope after all. - James Mowery
Eh, I'm concerned that we're talking about an unreleased game in terms of "how many awards it's already won". They hype machine was criticized last year for games like assassin's creed, etc. When it comes out if there is a noticeable difference, ok, but till then I haven't seen anything from Dead Space that trumps games already out on 360 & PS3 - Richard Lawler

LBP looks awesome tho, it's the reason I bought a PS3...and the reason it's been gathering dust becuase I'm watinig for LBP and Wipeout HD to come out - Richard Lawler

Anyone who want to tell their PSN-names? Mine is kermit_swe. Add me if you want to play with a Swede :) - Peter
Of course the PS3 looks better. No one is doubting it is a more powerful system. The problem is, it doesn't have anywhere near as many good games as the 360 or as good of an Online system as Xbox Live. - Adam Teece
via twhirl
Yes, but how does the PS3 work with Windows Media Center? That's the main reason I own an Xbox 360 at all. - Jesse Stay
Content is king, all hail the Wii. And whilst Xbox 360 users get on with playing games, PS3 users sit around waiting for games to appear. - Dukeswharf
via twhirl
The Wii has very little quality content actually. The 360 still has the most "must have" games and there's no evidence that this will change anytime soon. - Alex "Chameleon" Scoble
There are less than 10 games worth getting for the Wii...Maybe 20...The 360 has at least 50 games that are worth buying. Only reason the Wii has sold so well so far is a blend of marketing, controller paradigm shift and price of the console. 360 still leads in attach rate though. More people buy more stuff for the 360 than the other 2 next gen consoles. Which means Microsoft actually makes more money per 360 than the other 2...Unfortunately, they've also lost a lot of money from all the 360 failures. - Alex "Chameleon" Scoble
And when it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter much how good the game looks. It only matters if it's fun. - Alex "Chameleon" Scoble
i'm sorry Robert you are just wrong ! - Nigel Cooke
"i'm sorry Robert you are just wrong !" Yes, you are wrong! What you thought and what you saw with your own eye and and own experience is wrong! How could you have come to a conclusion based on your own experience! How dare you! - iomegadrive
to be fair, xbox is year older technology and next gen will be several years before playstation's next gen - Mike Etheridge
I disagree with robert based on what I've seen, however i haven't seen dead space so I'll wait till it come out. Everything i've heard from developers indicates the power difference is not nearly what sony would like you to believe, the limited video memory and GPU really hurt the PS3. - Richard Lawler
via twhirl
Only one box will play Halo 3 or do Windows Media Center. - Ernie Oporto
Basing this on one game is a bad idea - all it really means is that the port was lame. You can build a game for either system that looks better than the other - they are roughly equal. However Xbox Live is miles ahead of any other experience and the development path makes it much easier to build great games. Add in the media integration with windows networks and it's a real winner. - Soulhuntre
The Playstation has a handful of decent games but Xbox all the way for me, I like the Wii but I am dangerous when playing that! - Joe Dawson
BTW Dead Space's Isaac Clarke is now on twitter - @isaacclarke - Doug Brooks
Yeah, I think it came out pretty well. Would love some more feedback if anyone has any. Tried to do a bit more information/documentary style than usual in this episode. Is it overly dry? Helpful? Not helpful enough? Thoughts? - Lon Harris

Very cool video. Think you might go into anything about how binaural beats in audio can get your mind into that meditative state without having to work hard for it? - Adam Teece

Not sure I agree with that. The three features listed exist in both apps. OneNote was my constant companion in college. Perhaps he was just using it wrong? - Jordan Hofker
I've tried both and ended up using OneNote more often. OneNote has synchronisation as well but I think it only works in corporate environments with Sharepoint. - Alan Le
I am the same was as the author-onenote was just too big of a gun for most of my tasks. Evernote is a godsend - Mitch Hislop
via twhirl
I use Evernote more because my main work computer is a PC which I spend most of my day on, but whenever I travel I take a MacBook Pro with me. Evernote has all my notes no matter where I am. I can also send notes/pictures to Evernote with my blackberry. - Adam Teece
via twhirl
Alan, OneNote syncing works great across your home network. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking it would work nicely with Mesh as well. - Jordan Hofker
I have setup WSS (the free SharePoint) on my home server and put my personal OneNote notebook there. Then I can easily access my notes from work and home. - Jemm
interesting, thanks for the info Jordan and Joni - Alan Le
Well I use both and I cannot decide; as I use windows mobile and web continuously I should prefer Evernote, but also OneNote has a WinMobile Client, and the Office integration is really impressive - and I need Office (Outlook in particular) in my daily job for sharing with the rest of my colleagues... - andrea
By "home network" I guess I meant standard file shares. :-) - Jordan Hofker
Been using OneNote for a while - I think it's a killer app. I like the interface, I can organize things the way I like. It's friendly and intuitive. BUT- although it is possible to synch it online with OfficeLive Small Business, it just doesn't work right. I wasted two days on this. So I switched to Evernote, which I installed 3 months ago and never used. I don't like the interface as much, but it was obviously designed for the user who doesn't have their own IT department. MS's real customer. - Walter Feigenson
I've tried both and also G Notebook but prefer Evernote overall, it's just a little more intuitive for me and I like the UI. - Sally Church
I've used both and was also quite addicted to TiddlyWiki for a while. I like the fact that Evernote can be used online and offline and that I can send stuff from my phone to it. My main complaint is that I can't format the notes very easily. If they would put in some kind of simple text editing (I would be super happy with Textile or MarkDown) then I'd be happy. Just to make tables and lists easily and format code snippets. It would be purely optional use for those who didn't need that functionality. - Lindsay Donaghe
Evernote is good tool - I use it for fast web clippings and snippits and so on. The time line vew is great for that stuff and it does a good job of preserving the formatting of a web page. For almost everything else I use OneNote. Not only does it sync really well with my phone and with multiple collaborators but the organizational abilities kick Evernote's butt. - Soulhuntre
As a side note: OneNote sync works really well with home server or the built in file sharing in Windows. It also does a great job syncing with offline laptops and so on when they hook back up. - Soulhuntre
Just trying Evernote now. It's pretty cool and I'm super-impressed it can search my hand written notes from the wacom tablet. - Andrew Smith
Really like OneNote, but Evernotes ability to sync across computers, platforms and be web accessible makes it a winner. If only the search function could be used in other programs (are you listening Thunderbird?) - Bob Stemen
Good idea. Twitter has lost a lot of momentum lately. It's still good for "microblogging", but it's missing a solid feeling of discussion. That's where FF stands out -- centralizing the conversation. - Jeff Beckham
Way to go Jason. My choice too. I'll read the conclusions you'll draw on that move of yours :-) - Eric Sausse
Not a bad idea, I've found SocialThing and ping.fm have helped expand my horizon's from Twitter - David Sky
This is a smart idea. hard to focus on FF while on Twitter. (Plus Twitter will probably crash 10 times during the next week). Plus FF has a bunch of new features to toy with. I'm tempted. - phil baumann
way to go Jason, reference Robert Heinlein and NOW you are the VICEROY!! - David Blumenstein
via twhirl
I really prefer twitter over friendfeed, but good luck nontheless - Mike Martin
does that include not responding to twitters via FF? - Pokai
Hey I was wondering how long it would take to get you and Steve Gillmor using FF...wow, you both must have drank the same koolaid this week! - Susan Beebe
I think it is an interesting experiment. What would happen if you just posted and shared stuff using FriendFeed? What could a big hitter do for FriendFeed by doing just this? Keep going Jason, you tend to be a bit of a maverick and really spice things up (which I like). - Paul Jacobson
Yes, I will be checking off the "send to twitter" in FriendFeed. However, 99% of activity will be FF not twitter this week. - Jason Calacanis
You didn't check it off for that one. Considering you just sent a Tweet to yourself... - Chacha
via twhirl
Where is the "send to twitter" feature? That would be really helpful... - Marc Vermut
via twhirl
Its on the website, you are using Twhirl which doesn't use the feature - Chacha
via twhirl
Chacha, you can send to twitter from friendfeed when you reply to a comment, but not when doing a new post. Unless I have missed that option. - Daniel Robitaille
You are correct Daniel :) But the feature to send a Tweet when replying to a comment is only found on the website - Chacha
via twhirl
I'm curious to see how long until FriendFeed starts to get as glitchy as Twitter myself. - J T. Ramsay
I just got a glitch myself. Someone comment on a Tweet, I commented back, and now both comments arn't there - Chacha
via twhirl
Looking forward to this. Jason, interested to see the results of your efforts, and feel free to reach out to those of us who have been living here for nine months now. Taurus and Fondue will love you better for it. - Louis Gray
Yeah, I complained on Plurk. It has a weird interface, but it kinda grows on you. - Adam Teece
via twhirl
Adam - Plurk's interface grows on you like genital herpes. Just wait until the itching and burning starts. - Dossy Shiobara
That's what that burning sensation was...but what are the strange triangular growths? - Adam Teece

Twitter has had multiple chances to get its act together. Why does it continue to disappoint? Maybe the Twitter staff need a Supernanny sort of person over there to put them in the Naughty Chair every time there's issues. - Wendy
ROFL @wboswell - "put Twitter in the Naughty Chair" - awesome - Dossy Shiobara
I haven't really gotten into it yet, though I have played around with it. Seems like something Microsoft should have done with OneNote. - Mack D. Male
I've had it for a while, I wasn't that impressed, but then again, I don't know if it's something I need. Could be great for some. - Greg Hollingsworth
via twhirl
I think Evernote gives your camera phone a purpose. - Kreg Steppe
The one feature I would really like to see is the ability to not sync certain notebooks with the web version. That would let me use it at work, as it is I can't use it for work stuff because I cannot share all of that info with a web service. - Mike McBride
Why not just go to the back and find out what can be done ... that's what I would do .. just hope no one is trying to pull one on you. - JohnBfromMemphis

Been in contact with the bank and working on getting the keys. They have to put a work order in and the company that changed the locks, I will be giving hell to because they left no contact info and didn't try to contact the seller or the listing agent that has a sign with a phone number right in the front yard. That is vandalism because now the listing agent can't show the house when trying to sell it. - Adam Teece
