G'day Benedikt. Thanks for the write-up. Glad you like the site. We are also glad you found our "kinda related" button on each post useful and accurate. It's actually one of the more subtle features that really makes us different. The Kinda Related name was something that was used because 1) it is what it is 2) we couldn't come up with something better and it stuck. We will be integrating more social services soon, we are firm that we do not want to be yet another social network as there are already too many, but from the feedback, we now have a good idea which way to go with that for maximum success. You can share with Twitter, Facebook and email right now. Wir sind keine Schnappi. Reg ist ein Alligator. ;) Man back to English, I had to think way to hard about that. Cheers - if you or anyone has any questions about the site, please let me know. - Scott Lockhart
Oh, just discovered that Regator even allows playing video clips embedded in blog posts. I really like that. But: If I'm clicking on a video clip on a blog post far at the bottom of a regator page, the video opens at the top of the page so that I don't see it. And, Scott, sorry for the crocodile ;-) - Benedikt Koehler
You can also play audio as well. If you click the speaker icon on the top tabs, you can get all the latest audio. I think an audio post is at #1 on the home page right now. That shouldn't be doing that with the video popup. it should just overlay wherever you are down the page. I'll take a look and see if there is something up with that. thanks! - Scott Lockhart
Scott, that's great. I love how responsive your site is. Hope it stays this way when all the early adopters rush in ;-) - Benedikt Koehler
Benedikt- me too! We're doing pretty well right now with a good and steady load of users over the past few days. I think we're only at about 3% server capacity right now, we peaked at something like 5 or 6% on launch day. We're going to keep an eye on things and we have some contingency plans to scale as we get more users so we stay quick. The way we are using ajax and making "micro"calls to the server as opposed to serving entire pages over and over again really provides us with a lot of efficiency. - Scott Lockhart
