So completely clearing the browser cache fixed all the issues with Chrome and Gmail.

OK is it just me? GMAIL is not working for me in Chrome! Works fine in other browsers. Maybe it's one of my Chrome extensions?
Think I will be skipping any fb.me links posted to Twitter. A link to another page with a link? Why bother?
