New extension (for Chrome Web Store) is almost ready for first roll-out. I think. I started it in August, then put it down for a while; until this past week. It has integration for Google+, Friendfeed and Twitter. I'd like to set-up both a trial + paid version, but I have to figure out the best way to do that.
Hmm.. I still can't find any articles, blog posts, help pages that show real world examples of Chrome Web Store downloads that have been monetized via one-time payment. Are we in rainbow farting unicorn country here?

Rainbow farting unicorn territory. :^) I think I live there. It smells like posies.

There are Chrome extensions that are premium. But haven't seen one with one-time payment thingy.

Ah, ok. Of course it looks like the payment is for the user's lastpass account / remote web server-controlled features - standard annual subscription web app model.

Hm, did more reading. Only web apps support charge at download (not extensions). I'm considering my own activation code method for the non-free additional features version. It's all just an honor system at root because any auth. system is in the client code, but I'd like to experiment with having a free & pro version.

More progress tonight. Just added Google Search to the sites that integrate with the extension.

From stackoverflow, Checker Plus for Google Calendar is an extension that requires you to donate in order to use certain features: http://stackoverflow.com/a.... I installed it, and it looks pretty neat. On the options page there are a bunch of features that are grayed out and say "donation required."
