My uncle's - the very one I played as a kid and now my kids are playing it at my cousin's. - Micah from email
we had 3 of these built into the wall in the playroom of our house when I was a kid. I wish I still had a machine. - Gunnyman™

My uncle spent 30 years in the Navy. He brought one of these back and gave it to us as kids. I have no idea what happened to it, but it was cool. - Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
I haven't seen one of those in a while. I think they still use those as gambling machines in Japan. - Rodfather
I had a friend with one of these. Sooooo awesome. Also, on a recent-ish trip to Japan, blew huge amounts of Yen. :) - Steve and 4 other people
Steve, so are this along side other casino-type gaming machines in Japan? - Micah
No, there's whole "arcades" (actually more like a modern day casino) that are just full of high-tech pachinko machines. They have video screens in the middle, etc. It's amazingly expensive to play (~1yen per ball, if I remember right). You can blow through 500 balls in just a few minutes. And, like US slots, when you win, you win big. The machine starts dispensing balls in copious amounts into a plastic bin. When they hear you winning, they bring by these buckets that they start filling up. It's crazy. - Steve and 4 other people
There are some nice photos on the Wikipedia article for Pachinko. - Steve and 4 other people
