Been drizzling/raining fo most of the day. Cold and wet, but in a desert climate (Israel, FYI), it's what you long for.
Spoke to my aunt; she told me over all the nice things people (ie. doctors) have said about my grandfather. He was really a great person.
A friend just found out about the new video-shooting iPod Nano - I knew about it since announcement day.
I think the beginnings of rain is a sign I should get off the porch already and go to sleep. G'night y'all.
Called up the family; everyone is at my grandparents' apartment, and seem to be holding out okay emotionally, thank G-d.
Going to try to call my aunt after night classes. I have tons of questions regarding before and after my grandfather's passing last Thurs.
I have a somewhat selfish use for an OphCrack LiveCD right about now. It'd get me in trouble, but boy would I be satisfied.
Don't want to go to sleep so early, but there's close to nothing to do right now (watched all the @Revision3 shows on my phone).
Unfollowing @satmakeyourpt. They keep tweeting the same polls over and over again, and anyway my phone won't do any of the Flash.
Err, that was my mother's sister-in-law (aka my aunt) - my mother doesn't have any sisters. But same condolencing effect nonetheless.
Got an email from my mother's sister with condolences on my grandfather's passing. It's simple things like that which make me happy.
Just got word that my grandfather is no longer with us. Sadly, he spent the last year in hospitals and nursing homes. We will miss him.
Check out the writeup and photos (not all are mine) from our trip on Tuesday: http://ateretyerushalayim.post...
Saw a teenage boy on the bus shorter and younger looking than I holding a pack of cigarettes (and, unrelated, a Nokia N95). Not impressed.
RT @Chris_Kasten I was demonstrating virtual machines to my 15 year old son. It was *very* cool to see his eye light up. "That's so cool!"
@THErealDVORAK And they block Amazon, Wordpress.com and Blogger blogs, and Twitter, to give you a sense of the variety of stuff they block.
Can't see the new mobile.twitter.com magic in any browser on my Nokia E71 (the S60 browser, Opera Mini 5B or Mobile 10B2). Hello?
@THErealDVORAK We use the filter from Internet Rimon (http://neto.net.il/ - warning: page is in Hebrew), which supposedly we can't control.
@zachflauaus I know you've been inundated already, but in Israel we have Cellcom, Orange (GSM/UMTS), Pelephone (CDMA/UMTS) and Mirs (iDEN).
@SethRader My savings goal is slightly less: enough to upgrade whatever laptop my dad would by for me for college to a refurb 15-inch MBP.
@markbao NewEgg?
Dude - the heat is on in the dorms! Thought there would never be a molecule of steam passing through the radiator.
Really gotta watch what I say online, even on Facebook (which I consider somewhat private). One stupid comment could screw me over for life.
@kabren Some guys here will be lighting right at the street. Chanuka in Eretz Yisroel FTW
@bpkid My dad told me he'll be giving me a little bonus in my bank account. Like, enough to pay for a domain with private registration.
Trying to find a job in photography for the summer. No luck so far; asked my dad to ask around for me.
Think I figured out a good tripod at a price resembling affordable (relative to the hobby) - Manfrotto 055XB with 804RC2 head.
@ricksammon Can you guys please publish full RSS feeds on @DPExperience? It'd make reading the blog much easier on a mobile phone.
I had no doubt that @therealdvorak 's blog (http://www.dvorak.org/blog/) would be blocked by the school's filter.
@pixelatedimage Can you guys please publish full RSS feeds on @DPExperience? It'd make reading the blog much easier on a mobile phone.
