If you're a mobile worker/workshifter who frequently works from a coffee shop what can coffee shops do to be more friendly to you as a mobile worker? Or are there any specific things coffee shops have done that made you feel uncomfortable (rush you out? Glare at you for taking up a table?) working there?
I notice during Nanowrimo that coffee shops need to see some cash register action to be comfortable wtith long term parking. For some I'm not sure it's possible to recouncile their perception that you sitting is not to their profit.

Pete's links wifi to a code on a receipt that's valid for an hour (?). That's fair I think. The ability to control glare would also be nice.

Interesting. The coffee shop I'm talking to WANTS people to hang out and work. Basically they think it's good business to be known as that spot in town where they're happy to have you working. So I'm trying to think about what the can do to make that happen. Since they don't limit their wifi and they aren't going to rewire to add more outlets (I don't think anyway) I'm really not sure what to tell them.
