I've been telling people this for years. The keyword tag is a waste of space, and the description tag is only helpful for how you APPEAR on Google -- it has nothing to do with your ranking.

"FTA: "the ability to embed a map isn't even there" I've been using it for a few weeks, and the map embed has been there the entire time. It's a bit quirky, but works for the most part."

"It's not just to see what others are typing, but to collaborate in real-time. To see the changes that someone else is making to the same document is a very powerful tool to have. For example, a colleague and I have been using it a lot as we build client quotes and emails. We can work on bullet points of features and costs, work out how to phrase the e-mail to them, etc. It works wonderfully well for that kind of thing."

"I'm quite sure they'll eventually just tie it to your Google account, just like they do for Calendar, Reader, Docs, etc. At that point, it's just a matter of how hard they promote it to their users."

"Did any of you actually read the article? It was comparing the 3GS to the original iPhone. It's smaller and "sleeker" by any comparison."

Very cool, but who is going to subscribe to the 90+% of self-indulgent blogs out there on a Kindle? It's a good idea but I think a tad premature for this type of technology that is primarily making waves in the Shady Acres Community. :)

I expect very few (if any) will subscribe to mine, but I'll take the free promotion. :)

I could add my gaming site to it I just don't know if it would yield any results. Then again, if it did with only 1 subscriber... It is 1 more subscriber.

I doubt I'll ever buy Microsoft Office again. I've used OO for a few years and it's great! Between this and Google Docs you can get more done and save a bunch of money.

Awesome! Hopefully ping will clean up their interface a bit more ("which page is this going to?"), but this is good news for a lot of people.

Sounds to me like it DOES help, but not very much. I have a link to the privacy policy in the footer of my site (every page). It took me about 20 seconds to edit the footer with nofollow on that link and re-upload. Based on this video, that was probably a wise thing to do.

Rand from SEOMoz covers this in his latest whiteboard Friday

Mickey, personally I would leave your privacy policy crawlable. It can be useful to have in the search results. If you notice on my blog, I rarely (never?) use nofollow to exclude links on my site from search engines.

About time! Two-way communication through this stream will be great -- for example, we'll be able to leave comments on status updates without leaving TweetDeck. Awesome!
