Hitesh: I disagree with that. But I would go and choose which one feels best in your hand. Also, which one has the best lenses FOR YOU and the kinds of things you like to shoot. I would go and try them both out, if you can. Some stores rent them both, or tag along with a photo club (on our photo walks lots of people have both). Also, look into the UI. Some people really hate the Nikon UI, others hate the Canon UI. Good luck!

I'm not sure the glass actually matters since the only glass I am using is sigma. I have a 30mm f1.4 and an 18-50 mm f2.8 and they make it for canon and nikon

I think the glass matters the most actually. Imo, Nikon is better in low light. I also like Nikon user exerience better - thoughtfully placed buttons, less reliance on menus and screens than Canon. I have a d700 and it's unbelievably fantastic. Get the best glass you can.

I appreciate the feedback from folks. Omar so the glass you have works for both Nikon and Canon cameras? See whenever I talk with someone about cameras they always tell me one thing: glass is super important and ultimately ties you to a camera company (Nikon or Canon etc).
