这两样商品需要是以下3种主题里的正典型和反典型:function(有用+没用)或者ecology(环保+不环保)或者gender(男性+女性).。值得一提的是评审的程序很真实,不像american's next top model和apprentice里的“you are fired.”

I really think it has improved in the past spurt of shows. It was awful last year but I like they way it is progressing now.
- Andrew
I gave up on Lost and Heroes after one or two seasons. I loved them both, but they went from a cool story to plot devices to extend things for N more seasons, and it just started to annoy me.
- Bret Taylor
@Bret: You should give Lost another shot! They finally started to explain the mysteries last season and it's become gripping again. @Andrew: I think Heroes has gotten worse over the last few episodes, especially the cheesy Claire storyline.
- Jess Lee
The most recent storyline has been pretty decent. And the first was of course great. However, I'm actually pretty surprised it was renewed (because of the terribleness of the second season and first half of this season and the dwindling viewership). Hmm.
- Chieze Okoye
I really don't understand how NBC let Heroes get so bad. The way I see it, they've created a show called "Heroes" about a group of people with super powers who do nothing except run around helpless and whining. I enjoyed Heroes the most at the end of Season 1 when Peter had amassed so many powers he seemed well on his way to becoming Superman. Right now the only character with any potential is Sylar, but he's off on his personal Feelings Crusade. Is it so hard to realize this is all terribly boring?
- Tom Harrison
I think stories about people with powers inevitably run into “inflation”. In order to keep it exciting, you have to increase the protagonist's power, but to compensate you also have to increase the villain's power. This is fine at the beginning but it's not sustainable. You have to reset things (Peter losing his powers) or you have to end the story (dropping the One Ring into Mount Doom) or limit them (“level 80” in World of Warcraft) or you end up with ridiculous levels of power with unfun stories.
- Amit Patel
@Amit, Unless you write it well, which no one on the show has. And for me, it was never the powers or the action that kept it gripping, but rather the characters that have these powers.
- Jon, the Chilled Beartato
I think the only reasonable solution is to end it. The problem is that if something is good, no one (producers, fans) really want it to end, so you end up with these outrageous plot devices. I think if they went in saying "this is going to be a three season show if it does well, but the first season is reasonably self-contained if it gets canceled" (and they had the plot outlined for all three seasons) most shows like this would be a lot better.
- Bret Taylor
Can someone, anyone, please tell me what is up with Claire's mother's mouth? Did she have stroke or something? I can't stop staring at it when she talks...
- Kevin Pedraja
Bret, I read an opinion piece a while back to that effect. That shows should have fixed runs that shouldn't be extended, that it would work out to better quality and give the actors more options when the run is over (go into movies etc...). If more story was needed a second fixed run "sequel" would be commissioned to continue the series. I think some british shows follow this model.
- mikepk
The whole fighting the government thing is just tired. The damn show is titled Heroes. What's heroic about it?
- Todd Hoff
Agree with folks that Peter sucks now that he lost all his powers. Sylar is the best character currently, but it would be nice if he went back to NOT looking for his father.
- elroy
Amit that's why the show can't be about powers, it has to be about relationships and goals and people. That's pretty much gone now.
- Todd Hoff
@Amit: Also known as Dragonball syndrome? =)
- Daniel Bruce
So, I personally think that the Superheroes vs Government storyline was some of the best stuff in X-men and can be really thought provoking as a theme of story when done well. I just like when the "when does 'what is right' not correspond with 'what is legal'?" question is asked. See: recent Civil War arc in Marvel Comics, for instance. Anyway, I think that Heroes is executing it moderately well, but it's not great or anything.
- Chieze Okoye
Also, I think that Amit hit the nail on the head. Peter was becoming a God character. I think, though, this doesn't excuse the poor writing that has gone down recently. It does come down to the interpersonal relationships and that's what made the first season so good (and the second and the beginning of the third so terrible). But still Peter the walking plot hole had to be addressed. The stupid Peter-hugging-obviously-evil-father thing was weak, though.
- Chieze Okoye
@Chieze -- That is a perfect description of how ridiculously overpowered Peter was: "Peter the walking plot hole"
- Jess Lee
first 2 seassons have been great. the 3rd is horrible...exept for sylar. the show needs more plot twists and heroes working against each other. this government underground vs all heroes is so silly and boring. there are no surprises anymore lately
- Chris Hofmann
The first 2 series where good - after that the show just went downhill.
- Nicholas James
I still think Sylar should have died at the end of season 1 . And yes more of these shows need a fixed episode limit. 3 seasons no more.
