http://mindboosternoori.blogspot.com will give you the best description I can remember of, until I take some tome to change this to something more useful...

ONLY in the box: the 4th LP-side, which is full of unreleased/new Sturmpercht songs!!! And for the very first time in history of music, the box also includes 9 strange, Sturmpercht-typical music instruments: Donnertrommel (thunderdrum) Votzhobl (mouthorgan) Waldteufel (forestdevil) Nachteule (nightowl) Geisterflöte (ghostflute) Maultrommel (jaw's harp) Druidenrassel (druidrattle) Vogelpfeiferl (birdpipe) Kuhglocke (cowbell)"

In the same day, today, iLike, Last.fm and Deezer are having "technical issues". Something's fishy... There's a new album release or something? What's happening *today* that is overloading all the music services?

"Last.fm: We’re sorry, but our database servers are currently overloaded. Please enjoy a quick cup of tea and then try refreshing this page." It's the second music webapp today I see overloaded... What's happening today?
"Brussels, 6. November 2009 --This week a Dutch journalist, Brenno de Winter, alerted the public about a new draft for an upcoming European Interoperability Framework (EIF) 2.0 communication of the European Commission. The leaked draft is a follow-up to a famous earlier document 1.0 with a strong emphasis on genuine open standards (and open source). FFII has analysed the document and explains why a release in its current form would undermine interoperability."

Cool stuff: iLike is down, but their "we're down" page has links to stuff to do while you wait it to get back: A few fun things you can do while you wait:
* try Flixster - rate movies with friends
* Play Lemmings
* Play Sudoku
* Play Virus(this one's our new favorite)

"Who can start projects on Kickstarter? Kickstarter is for funding creativity and ambition — so, it's a big umbrella. We love artists, writers, designers (of all kinds!), filmmakers, musicians, journalists, athletes, adventurers, inventors, bloggers, illustrators, explorers, curators, promoters, performers, and others. Currently the ability to create a project is by invitation only. Learn more about invites. Due to current Amazon Payments policy, projects can only be started by people or entities with a U.S. address and bank account."

Now that I found out that there's a "chromium inspector" (something like "firebug for chromium"), I finally installed it. I don't think I'll be using it much, but found out already something cooler there: chromium's inspector has a better profiling tool than firebug.
"Ubuntu 9.10 is causing outrage and frustration, with early adopters wishing they'd stuck with previous versions of the Linux distro."

"Digital Video Recorders, once considered a mortal threat by the entertainment industry, have now become its new best friend. It's just the latest example of how the industry's constant warnings of the dangers of "piracy" frequently turn out to be baseless hysteria."

"The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement negotations continue in a few hours as Seoul, Korea plays host to the latest round of talks. The governments have posted the meeting agenda, which unsurprisingly focuses on the issue of Internet enforcement. The United States has drafted the chapter under enormous secrecy, with selected groups granted access under strict non-disclosure agreements and other countries (including Canada) given physical, watermarked copies designed to guard against leaks."

"Hey, remember when Radiohead released a bunch of 3D data for their music video "House of cards"? Now someone has used that data to print a 3D model of Thom Yorke's head."

LOL.

"User Serratiago has used Blender to convert the original data from the Radiohead video into a set of coordinates that can be printed into a real-life 3D sculpture of Thom Yorke’s head. Since the original data is licensed under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license, that means Serriago’s derivative is as well. What’s great about this story is that Serratiago didn’t need to ask Thom Yorke, Radiohead, or anyone for permission to make and distribute his work, as the Creative Commons license had already established it!"
