i love that: "post-apocalyptic...not all sunshine and flowers." until we have an actual apocalypse, how can anyone know? lolz

See, the crowds for D3 need to follow F3 instead.
- Jordan Hofker
i think we can say, with some certainty from past nuclear experiences, that the landscape would not be very pretty.
- Veronica
@veronica... um, sarcasm... i hope all of our apocalypes are in brown/gray and in videogames, and not RL. ;-)

If it's like Oblivion (it's [a descendant of] the same 3D engine, at least), there should be a good modding community. Maybe someone can make a psychedelic version. Put Josh Haley in there somewhere. Dancing around in a little circle, maybe.
- Akiva Moskovitz
I'm waiting for "Jeff Minter's Fallout 3". Should be pretty light on the brown & gray.'

Is this the new feature? Very freaking cool.
- Ross Goldberg
If your watching the real time stream - then yes it is - The KEY is how you customise it - and the fact that you can comment on the fly and not have it reorder like the desktop apps do - brilliant piece of programming and has the potential to totally upsurp the whole chat/forum system with something that is way more interactive!!
- Ed Dale
It also allows you to quickly unsubscribe from people who are just using friendfeed for SEO purposes. IT's Really really big
- Ed Dale
I have to agree, this is a very cool, very game-changing feature.
- Chris Abernethy
It sure is Chris - all those follow you - follow me twitter types should be over here - where you can actually have a conversation properly in a medium that is designed to host it - this is a GAME CHANGER
- Ed Dale
Because of you Ed, I had my Twitter account for a year, then the odd situation of my friends all suddenly getting on and preaching to ME about Twittering...
- Sam Longoria
I'm so glad you're a professional noticer Ed. This real-time thing really opens up the conversation. I can see it being way better than trying to use Twitter for something it was never really designed to do. Can't wait for the IE report on this...
- SteveH
Thanks for making sense of it all Ed! I remember the old days of twitter when you gave us the heads up -it was so random then you'd have to be highly intuitive to get that it was going to evolve into something big.
- Rebecca Kellock
This is so much easier than trying to follow a conversation on Twitter. I imagine it will be better for cultivating relationships too.
- Shannon
Exactly Shannon!!! - if your going to chat - why not use all this leverage as well!
- Ed Dale
I've never replied/responded to anyone on twitter, this is just so much easier.
- Stuart Fraser
Ed said feedfriend is seo friendly; we good guys will get benefit just because we add value 2 the hungry google beast & 2 readers
- Johan Horak
Real-time is cool but needs to be groupable. I'd like to be able to expand the post that owns the comments as they come in real-time in case i missed a post.

@Kevin Have you tried the FF real-time sidebar? If you haven't you should try it out. http://friendfeed.com/e... I haven't closed it since.
- Rolf Schewe
actually ff has become my main social hangout, first with the the imaginary friend thing, then the new live thing, and with the upcoming filtering thing
- Joelle Nebbe (iphigenie)
I haven't been on here for awhile, but this redesign inspired me. Nice. Very nice.
