title makes it sound like TPB is shutting down forvever. Hence why I think it's misleading. TPB is changing the way it works, that's all (in one word, 'decentralization'). This comment from Peter Sunde shows TPB knows EXACTLY what the people are thinking about this move --->- "If the new owners will screw around with the site, nobody will keep using it. That’s the biggest insurance one can have that the site will be run in the way that we all want to. "

"However, in order to live on, The Pirate Bay requires a new business model, which satisfies the requirements and needs of all parties, content providers, broadband operators, end users, and the judiciary" ;)

yup, that's the CEO's statement and I'm both curious as well as concerned what they have planned for the future. That's why I've been reading up on this a lot today.

My concern is not because I use TPB. Never ever used it. But if they change something in the way P2P works now, other sites might follow suit which *might* be problematic for us. Anyway lets see how things work out.

We'll see how things work out. It seems like the new company buying it has some money to support it and...well, lawsuits heading its way.
