Evidence to back up the 20-year old theory that obesity does not necessarily equal bad health is growing. Dr. Rachel Wildman of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine conducted a study of over 5000 American adults over age 20, and found that 23.5% of those considered "normal weight" had metabolic abnormalities, while over 50% of "overweight" adults and over 30% of obese adults are metabolically healthy.
