i suppose now that I've watched Medicine for Melancholy and Lilo & Stitch I should go grocery shopping...or nap.
What'd you think of M4M? - cecily
I enjoyed it. It's more atmospheric than anything so I was able to forgive Wyatt Cenac's acting as Micah. I found it hard to believe that any person would find him desirable to be around (he's creepy and caustic with only very fleeting moments of charm). It felt like a short story about a moment in time and it was emotionally honest as well as culturally smart. If there's an allegory for our "mashup" sensibilities of the Naughties, as Tiffany has got me now using, it's this tale. - Jason Toney
Jenkins created a world in this film. Because it was a world that is seldom seen, I forgave the characters' shortcomings as well. I didn't only think Micah was unappealing, though - I thought the female character spent way too much of the film with her nose turned up like she was smelling something bad. Still, I hated when the movie was over, because I wanted to spend more time in their atmosphere. - cecily from iPhone
