...wow! thanks for the share. didn't know it was THAT expensive to create a star. I think Katy Perry has great pipes, but damn, producers who charge $100K per song, just to show up at the studio? just: wow!

Yeah. And the economics are far less favorable for the record labels. 24 million singles at 99 cents isn't 10 million albums at $10.
