The 6 Best Ways to Rock FriendFeed
At J Phil's request: When you find an interesting conversation. Search the "title" with "who:everyone", and (1) you can see the other parts of the fractured conversation (2) you can find the more interesting discussions. Try http://friendfeed.com/search... It won't work for this article until FriendFeed's search index catches up, but try this later http://friendfeed.com/search... - Mitchell Tsai
The discussion on J Phil's "tell-all" article on "How to get noticed (and possibly annoy people) on FriendFeed" is http://friendfeed.com/e... (3) Sometimes there are excellent 1-line comments that don't get picked up in the main conversation. But if they start a new conversation, we get lots of fragments (e.g. some of Robert Scoble's best articles have lots of mini-discussions). - Mitchell Tsai
Excellent! Thanks! - Phil G
Oh forgot. Add "&num=100" to the end of your search if there are LOTS of posts (shows 100 per page). For example, this search http://friendfeed.com/search... gives the last 100 posts for the Louis Gray article "Blogging 2.0 Causing Friction With 1.0 Bloggers" which was very popular last month - over 100+ re-posts & discussions. - Mitchell Tsai
Wow. You know, this would be a great addition to YackTrack search, wouldn't you agree Rob? - Phil G
InternetDuctTape.com website has a cool FriendFeed greasemonkey script I have installed for the "&num=100" parameter (i use the 50 one myself). - Susan Beebe
Susan: I switch between 30 & 100 depending on what I'm doing. And I save some searches to my bookmarks bar (e.g. Friends #300-399 http://friendfeed.com/...) - good for catching old posts when I've just started browsing....otherwise they'll slip away due to the Page 11 bug. - Mitchell Tsai
Didn't know about the &num parameter. Thanks. - Tom Landini
possibly useful. saving in comments. - Kamilah Gill
@J. Phil, this could possibly circumvent a problem I have with the actual URL being shared. I will definitely give it a look. - Rob Diana
Search has finally indexed this article. - Phil G
Way to go Phil! 111 comments and 124 likes...and still climbing. :-) - Mitchell Tsai
