for those on Iphone, Gcal and Outlook - you can also sync All calendars including RTM by using a free exchange server at nuevasync.com . I update stuff in any of them and all the other Calendars sync/update "automatically".pretty nifty. - SnakeDoc
I'm a long time RTM user and love it. - Jeremy Kunz

i love it too. haven't found a good Android app for it yet. the iphone app is great - @baratunde from twhirl

i've been using it for a while and love it. i ponied up the $25 for the pro account and the $9.99 for Todo on my iPhone (no RTM app at the time) and have been really happy. Now that I've tried the RTM app, I kind of like Todo better. No regrets here about upgrading to the pro account or the $10 for Todo. - Mark Foundos
How do you compare this with iwantsandy? I've been using iwantsandy and I'm pretty happy with it... - Jorge Escobar
never tried iwantsandy but in skimming a few reviews they look very similar but iwantsandy seems totally email-based whereas RTM you can add tasks etc via email but also via the web/google gadget/iphone app. - Mark Foundos

This might be a bit irrelevant, but just in case. I got to know about this app through the Lifehacker blog and they have quite a bunch of blog posts about the app. You can get the site search for RTM in here http://www.google.ie/search... One of the best ones is this one... more... - Cibeles

Instead of the firefox add-in, take advantage of the gadget. It uses less memory and, since it's actually part of the web page, is browser agnostic. That's good news for users of Chrome, Safari, IE, Opera, etc. Instructions on RtM at http://bit.ly/21RzqS. - Chris Rogers

I've been using RTM for about 4 months now, along with the iPhone app ToDo for synching. It's fast, feature-rich, and integrates with GMail - a winning combination. - Peter Ghosh
Just started using RTM now it's been integrated with GMail, it's been really useful..... - Iain Baker
i've used for ~2 years. it's a great app. - Kevin Gough
Its really good stuff, but their real world integration is horrid. No sync to outlook? Really? C'mon folks, is that a religeous thign with them? Dont get me wrong, I use them (pro member) but that is a glaring omission. - Soulhuntre from twhirl

Tear down the broadcast towers - http://www.buzzmachine.com/2008...
Jeff, here's a stat. Radio gets 230 million uniques a week. Compare that to, let's be kind, five million a week uniques listening to whatever via iPhone. Those broadcast towers still represent about twenty billion a year in revenues w/ operating margins to die for. No tag days, yet, for broadcast radio. - Dave Martin
I wonder why people are so eager be first to call the death or superfluity of old media. Is there a prize for that? - Michael Markman
@Michael. Calling things dead is so vogue. No matter that radio has been called dead since 1949. The truth of the matter is few things just drop dead, and in media, things actually change, new media is ADDED to the mix. It's all about AND not OR. - Dave Martin

@Scobleizer: qik for iphone is coming...
Qik for iPhone is coming, yes, but the camera sucks and Qik's compression needs to run in software, not hardware, so it'll suck. - Robert Scoble
@Robert, I don't quite understand this statement of yours.. I thought compression always runs in software except in special cases where you have dedicated hardware for it. (usually on a computer and not on a mobile device) Or do you mean compression doesn't happen on-the-fly on the phone itself and only happens on Qik's server? - Chris Chua
when??? - Grant
Chris: Qik's engineers tell me that much of the compression of the video on the Nokia actually happens in hardware, while on the iPhone they are forced to do much of that same compression in software. - Robert Scoble
so why not pump data from iPhone to QiK servers in RAW and then have QiK process it with better hardware? - Rom Feria
New chipsets from mobile devices like TI's OMAP3 will greatly accelerate on the fly compression, 3D rendering, and other things. n95 uses previous generation OMAP 2, which is still excellent. These are the platforms to look for for the high end video, and soon, 3d performance. - Dean Terry
Rom: do you have ANY clue how small a pipe 3G is? The best you usually get is about 400 kbps. That's not enough to send uncompressed video up. - Robert Scoble
Just wondering - 3.6Mbps-7.2Mbps with 2MP camera... should be tolerable, right? - Rom Feria
@Scoble sorry - just not used to slow 3G connections. :P - Rom Feria
yes, the trend is to do as much of this on device as possible. And a lot is possible (we're testing here in the lab) - give it a year. - Dean Terry

Why Social News Sites Must Implement Social Search - http://www.readwriteweb.com/

Interesting timing on the article because of Mixx's newest feature of user defined communities. Searching is always important, but social search vs submixxes/subreddits is an interesting question. "Sub topics" give you a filter, which is not a search, but could give you a small enough subset of information to be useful. - Rob Diana
