I had to think about this one a bit because I'm not sure what the scope of the question is. It's vague, but judging by your answers, I think it’s referring to people who are connected to Social Media. It's hard to narrow down to three, but the first one was the easiest; @louisgray, @fredwilson, and @jasongoldberg. I'm still amazed at what he did last year.

hey man I don't deserve that I am truly honoured thank you. Tx

Seriously. I hate to complain, but it is maddening. Simple things -- like figuring out where my Twitter statuses are going and who they are shared with, or even how to refresh them -- are complicated. It took my wife literally hours to figure out how to share photo galleries, and we still don't think we did it right (I gave up). The new privacy settings are good in theory, but even as someone who lives and breathes this sort of stuff, it isn't intuitive to me. How is some kid, or someone's Dad, new to the Internet, supposed to get it right?

@Jesse -- add me as a friend to see them. Or even just search for me, I think it's all public now (which is what I want).

I'm going through a little of the same head-scratching process these days trying to figure out why stuff does/doesn't show up in Lite vs the full UI

Friendfeed is the back door to get ANYTHING in to face book. I don't get much engagement on Facebook though, which you'd think you would from people you actually know in person. I get much more engagement on Friendfeed.

@Andy - because I try not to complain about other companies in public as a rule. This is just me-as-frustrated-guy speaking.

good thread. don't delete it. FF > FB

One big thing I've been thinking about lately is "leveraging social networks to accomplish important stuff" and no one can deny that personal relationships can influence collaboration. How well you know someone, how much you identify with them, how much you trust them, their level of reliability or transparency - all of these are values derived from social networking that then, when leveraged, can influence collaboration. Collaboration is not an end in itself, of course - it is a means to accomplish some end (finishing a draft report, etc.). So, social networking is a means to collaboration, which is a means to achieving some work or personal goal.
