The trick to keeping any social media stream interesting is to continually follow new people (recommended or found on a "best to follow" list.) The life span of a Twitter account is probably 1-2 years, so if you dont update, your stream is empty.

Twitter is starting to bore me because Friend Feed (and now FriendFeed (cuz they bought them)) allows you to post video and music. That makes twitter seem like a dinosaur in comparison. Facebook has a billion users and is getting better (cuz it uses FFeeds technology.) But FBook still is the Walmart of social media. FriendFeed has a lot of cool art/Photography/music and is my favorite, but since Facebook owns them now, they could pull the plug any second if they want. Friend Feed Rulz!
