Just spending the quiet this morning to get caught up on email responses to so many- ugh, I do not like being behind! Of course, I hear little feet running around downstairs. Maybe if I hide in my room, they will not notice- ha!

It is a sad day here in the McClatchy house- after 9 years of faithful service, old bessie has officially bit the dust. Now, I am praying the washer fairy will visit my house, and leave me a new one, with extra large capacity!

I am just doing my Monday chore- laundry- seeing if I can actually do all the loads AND put them all away, before dinner. Oh, but my little sickie gets attention first- he's got strep throat, poor guy!

Waiting for hubby to get back w/ingredients for Sunday dinner- making grilled chicken, roasted portabella mushrooms, red peppers stuffed w/saffron risotto, baby greens salad & dessert, of course- YUM!
Pondering some questions from Bible study today: Is your home a refuge? Is it safe from "friendly-fire"? Is it secure? Is it a training ground? Is it a place of connection? Is it a retreat, a place where your family wants to return? Praying about how to change my answers to these questions! I thought you might want to ponder along with me...

Off to fix dinner, baths, and out to book club with some amazingly spiritual young women- I just hope I get a burst of energy, as I could hop in bed (must quit staying up late!). Hope you all have a peaceful evening- God bless!
@nerdwriter Yes, it arrived yesterday! I've been good 2- busy at Christmastime w/my family- hubby's father & uncle passed away, been sad 2.
