Can someone make me feel better please? I'm looking for affirmation, people! Someone tell me I am don't sound like grandpa, please!! (original thread: http://friendfeed.com/e... )
- Mona Nomura
Well, you kinda-sorta, sometimes do...then again, Grandpa was never as hot as you. So, I am willing to overlook things. ;-)
- JA Castillo (جاسون)
I do? How so? Half the times I don't understand the words coming out of his mouth!
- Mona Nomura
Mona, you sound very optimistic :) Grandpas usually sound pessimistic in such cases, claiming all their past history and the upcoming misery!
- Hayk H.
You're cuter than Scoble. Keep smiling. ;-)
- Chris Baskind
Truly, it is good to have people with differing points of view. I didn't know who Scoble was a year ago and still don't feel his opinion is the best on everything. It is just opinion after all. Like any good librarian, I do my research and form my own conclusions about things. (But you two are so cute when you argue. LOL)

Mona, I can see you wandering around aimlessly in the background.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Akiva: That would be for completely different reasons! I am NOT a bajillion years old and I don't look like I need to be WD-40d!! @Hayk: So because I bring up history, I sound Grandpa? Great. And thanks Robot! Now I have a new name. McMona. - sigh -
- Mona Nomura
Mona, how did you end up being a breakfast sandwich, anyway ?:)
- Hayk H.
Coulda been worse, Mona. Scoble could have called you Abe Simpson. Oh, wait ...

well at least that is better than being accused of writing what I wrote on The Inquisitr (http://snurl.com/4a1oo) because I wanted to fight. It didn't matter that I was trying to provide a positive side while still being realistic about the current situation.
- Steven Hodson
Holy crap. I need to pull up grandpa's speech transcripts. WTF I am NOT McMona!!!!!!!
- Mona Nomura
Mona: John McCain just yesterday was praising Obama and telling his supporters that they were wrong to be fearful. That's what I meant. I meant it in a totally positive way toward you. Sorry you didn't see that.
- Robert Scoble
Steven: you totally took me out of context. This week I've posted a TON of stuff that's positive too toward the industry and you don't even subscribe to me in FriendFeed so how can you accurately represent what I am all about? Geesh.
- Robert Scoble
McMona w/ extra cheese and a coffee please.
- Rodfather
Oh, and ABC News is reporting the the World Bank is saying TODAY that the monetary system is very close to total collapse. Nothing I've said here in FriendFeed over the past week even gets CLOSE to anything that nasty.
- Robert Scoble
Robert! That's mean! I don't think anyone wants to be told that they sound like an old fart!
- Michael Forian
Robert, yes, IMF and WorldBank both are crying doom. Moreover, since last years, it appears that WorldBank was a target of systematic cyberpenetration, resulting in unidentified amount of stolen info. One thing they said is that all levels were penetrated. Now, what an interesting coincidence, huh?
- Hayk H.
Robert - re: ABC News: Gee, talk about doom and gloom - that's not a headline I want to see. Is that responsible reporting?
- Ken Stewart | ChangeForge
Ken: are you saying that they SHOULDN'T report what the World Bank is saying? I'd rather know than not.
- Robert Scoble
McCain would never use FriendFeed, so you're safe Mona.
- Mike Reynolds
Mike: LOL I don't know how to process that hahahhahha
- Mona Nomura
Robert, no - truth in reporting is always my preference. I suppose my question surmises there seems to be a lot of sensationalism in reporting. I did not see the piece, so I was asking if it was hype or not. Make more sense?
- Ken Stewart | ChangeForge
Ken: it was on ABC Radio. It wasn't sensationalistic, just reported what the World Bank was saying.
- Robert Scoble
I am not intimate with the World Bank affairs. It would seem then that the WB should bear some responsibility in not over-reacting, but this is purely speculation on my part. It's like yelling fire in a crowded theater to some extent. The proper thing might be to issue a controlled announcement, IMHO.
- Ken Stewart | ChangeForge
Mona: you should only worry about sounding like McCain if you keep saying "my friends" repeatedly. :D
- Steven Perez
ha, ha!! that's soooo funny! That "My Friends" crap makes me sick
- Susan Beebe
@Mona I was teasing you calling you McMona :P I was serious that i don't think you're like McCain. You think. He panders. Big difference (among others).
