On location in Paris, V.F.’s fashion and style director, Michael Roberts, draped Shakira in fresh-off-the-runway couture for a sexy photo shoot. Related: “A She-Wolf in Paris,” by Bruce Handy. http://www.vanityfair.com/culture...

the new shakira is somehow lame. turned into a stereotype. she looks like so many others now. and her music is overdriven with effects. just my opinion.

I disagree about her not being a great singer. her early stuff was good. it's only been since she's tried to really cross over that she's lost her voice and style. the whole beyonce wannabe thing is sad and tired.

Nothing wrong with a man masquing or having good skincare. You'll age better. But yea, you need to learn to hide from photos. No evidence!

#2 or #1. #3 is too cute, not villainous enough.
- Blackeyed P
And let me tell u why I like no2. No 1 is too obvious. No3 too sweet as Sarah said, but No 2 is exactly like ppl fancy on the outside and mincy inside. :)
- Monica Serban
Yeah, #2 looks better, but I'll play around with all of them again. But I'll need more inputs to be sure which one's the best...

"McKee characterises the major difference between professional and amateurs quite simply. Amateurs love everything they've written and find writing a joy. Professionals hate everything they've written and find the process painful and uncomfortable. But that is how it should be - excellence is hard. If writing were so easy to be a joy, there would be nothing remarkable in it. We'd all be turning in Oscar-worthy scripts by the truckload. No - a true writer has to force themselves to the desk to keep going, rewjecting 90% of the pages they produce and still carrying a niggling unsatisfied hatred for the small 10% that forms the final manuscript. If his intention was to scare off the"

This is really cool, but I immediately wonder about the exposed ends of the grain (moisture absorption) and how to keep the uneven/irregular pieces stable and anchored... still, I love the look!

Mark, you're right. It's definitely a big challenge getting this thing ready for regular use. I think some of it can be alleviated by proper choice of wood.

"Raksha Bandhan (the bond of protection in Hindi and Panjabi) is a Hindu festival, which celebrates the relationship between brothers and sisters. It is celebrated on the full moon of the month of Shraavana (Shravan Poornima).[1][2][3][4] The festival is marked by the tying of a rakhi, or holy thread by the sister on the wrist of her brother. The elder brother in return offers a gift to his sister and vows to look after her same while an elder sister returns offers to her younger brother. The brother and sister traditionally feed each other sweets. It is not necessary that the rakhi can be given only to a brother by birth; any male can be "adopted" as a brother by tying a rakhi on the person, that is "blood brothers and sisters", whether they are cousins or a good friend. Indian history is replete with women asking for protection, through rakhi, from men who were neither their brothers, nor Hindus themselves. In 16th century, Rani Karnavati of Chittor sent a rakhi to the Mughal...
