Still a lot going on out there. And the most recent mission to Mars gets there this summer. :-)

MESSENGER is still in orbit around Mercury - all kinds of cool new science coming from that. New Horizons is still speeding her way toward the Kuiper Belt ...
- Christina Pikas
There are still some interesting unmanned missions, but I miss re-entry sonic booms.
- Victor Ganata
I miss the breaking news when everyone would stop what they were doing and watch with rapt attention.

I remember being so excited. We bought the full soundtrack and all that. It was alright, but yeah, it didn't recreate youthful experiences. I still love the score though.
- Eric - seven eleven
I liked parts, didn't like others. On balance, I didn't hate them, but am in no rush to watch them again. I felt like the whole thing lingered on stuff I wasn't interested in, and glossed over the stuff that I was.
- Jennifer Dittrich
I knew from the very start with the behind-the-scenes website stuff that this was the Star Wars of my nephews, not mine. Take away the nostalgia and the hype and in my opinion Episode 4-6 aren't great cinematic masterpieces when compared to the full catalogue of films ever made, but they are hyper-cult.

i didn't care for how most of the prequels looked like computer games. EP3 was possibly the worst, which is strange.
- Hieronymous Boosh
I was indifferent. Although I thought Darth Maul was cool. That little boy is annoying though.
- Derrick
If it wasn't for the kid I could stomach episode I.. I'm still trying to decide if I can get past him to see the movie in 3d.
- Joe "Funkasaurus" Pierce
I enjoyed Ep3, but I really disliked both Ep1 and Ep2 -- mostly due to Jar Jar, Jake Lloyd, odd pacing (such as the overlong pod racing), poor acting, general buffoonery, midi chlorians, and a bunch of other stuff. Of course, I loved Ep4 and Ep5 as a kid, but I really didn't like Ep6. And when I rewatched Ep4 a few years ago, I didn't really think it held up that well. But I still prefer 4-6 by a mile over 1-3. It's really hard to overcome the nostalgia bias I have for them.
- Stephen Mack #TeamMomo
I enjoyed Amidala too, but probably for different reasons than Derrick... Actually I liked her in the first 2 movies where she was an ass kicker, in the third one she got all timid an weird.
- Joe "Funkasaurus" Pierce
Thank you. I really love the Star Wars sequels, mostly because those were the first ones I saw, and Anakin/Vader is my favorite.
- Colette
I liked them. I'm wasn't a huge Star Wars fan going in so I didn't have many preconceived notions about how things should be or how those films should tie into the previous ones. I just enjoyed them as movies in general. They were amazing visually, sounded incredible and had great music. The acting was just okay but the same could be said for the originals. I enjoyed them.
- DB, Just DB #TeamMonique
Any cutsie-poo characters in Star Wars annoy me.
- Mo Kargas
Of the prequels, I liked Phantom Menace, but the didn't like Attack of the Clones or Revenge of the Sith. Of course you're claim doesn't hold for me, I saw the first trilogy during the 20th anniversary remastered theatrical releases, and then the rest in theaters between the ages of 7 and 15. The sequels are still better. I <3 Jar Jar.
- Gimminy
That's the thing, Joe. Lucas and Speilberg have been pushing for 3D tech for a while. If you look at Episode 1, 2, 3 and 4 (all the films Lucas directed) they have elements in them set for 3D, be it tie fighters, trench runs, pod racing, Geonosis battle etc. Empire and Return don't have that many 'coming at ya' elements in them. Lucas talked about 3D back in 1996 (3 years before Menance).

I can't even begin to imagine who would be cool enough to play Westley, but I fear they'll end up giving the role to someone stupid like Seth Rogan or, even worse, Jim Carrey.
- DAMMIT, MR. NOODLE
Thank GOD, LBC. I heard it on the radio on the way to lunch/work, and about lost it.
- Bubba da Troll
I hope they one day do remake it. It'll be worth it to witness the NERD RAGE™.
- Akiva
False alarm notwithstanding, I say we turn this into a worst case casting scenario. Shia Leboeuf for Westley, Rob Schneider for Miracle Max, Justin Bieber for the Fred Savage role, ...

WTH... No to the movie and NO to Hollywood. Done with you not coming up with something other than a rehash of things that don't or shouldn't get remade.
- Harold

John Cena would be a terrible Fezzik. Big Show, OTOH, would actually be pretty good in that role.
- DAMMIT, MR. NOODLE
We're going for worst case casting here, though. Imagine the Hollywood that would cast Garrett Hedlund or Keanu Reeves to headline the Akira remake.
- Andrew C (✓)
but, but, but, but......grandpa! you can't let them do that!!!
- Morgan
They mess with perfection because that's what Hollywood does when they are bored....Why can't they just fiddle with themselves like everyone else?
- Morgan
You could always, uh, you know...watch the original.

"%7B%22viewsToModal%22%3A-1%7D - That's the name of the cookie that Instructables.com gave me :) I thought it would be cute to bring it to life and express it for real, so I did! These sugar cookies took forever, but I really love the high contrast and I don't care that it's just gibberish to me. Haha. I love black and white! I hope that you guys get a kick out of my HTTP Cookies!"

"Edvard Munch is best known for The Scream, 1893, an image endlessly reproduced in the media to depict mental anguish. Explanations of the meaning behind the image abound, mainly focusing on an outpouring of emotion in response to suffering. Munch’s own explanation is revealed in his diaries, which recall the melancholy of a walk along a bridge with friends. Trembling in fear at the fiery sunset, he sensed ‘how an infinite scream was going through the whole of nature’. This dehumanised figure, into which viewers project their own neuroses, is not screaming but blocking out the scream of its existence."
- Todd Hoff
It's interesting how before I never considered the subject blocking out the infinite scream of nature, my interpretation was along the conventional lines, but now I can't see it any other way.
- Todd Hoff
Munch wrote, “My father was temperamentally nervous and obsessively religious—to the point of psychoneurosis. From him I inherited the seeds of madness. The angels of fear, sorrow, and death stood by my side since the day I was born.”
- ʎəlɹoɯ uəʞ
Such a powerful sense of a dark fate. That couldn't have been easy to endure.
- Todd Hoff
Another interesting interpretation is around infantilism. Infant means without speech. As babies we can't speak so we cry and scream until we get we want. Dirty dipers we scream and someone takes care of it. If that wasn't what we wanted we scream again until we get what we want and they we are quiet. As babies we learn someone will be there to make it all OK. As adults we learn nobody...

Thank you sweet lady at soup house for NOT securing the lid on the container. I now have pho-king broth all over my phoking car and no phoking dinner :(
I saw her once in a grocery store in LA and I literally gasped.

She's long been one of my favorite actresses. Even when she does shit like Crystal Skull. I think my favorites of hers have been "I'm Not There" and "Coffee and Cigarettes".

I like Elizabeth as well as the sequel 'Elizabeth 2: The Golden Years - This Time It's Personal!'

Boss said we could go home ... I cant, too much still undone. We're supposed to be closed Monday ... I'll be here ... to much undone. Yes, folks, she's come undone.
I'm going to make an effort. When school's back in I don't get off work until 9pm and it's way too easy to swing by Popeye's and Popeye's is certainly part of the reason my pants are tight. :(

"It’s center stage for the Beastie Boys today, as the group was announced as one of the 2012 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The trio is only the third hip-hop group to make the cut, following Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five’s induction in 2007 and Run-D.M.C.’s in 2009. Other acts honored this year include rock groups Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns ‘N Roses and ‘60s singer Donovan."

At a recent cut chemist show, not only did they have video of his tables, there was a second guy mixing the video live along with the show! He had various video clips that he was using just as cut was mixing audio samples. My mind was blown. Never seen that before. Also, have you seen the Beasties' alternate version video for Sure Shot? I love it, way better than the "official" one. Their DVD anthology is sweet, as broke ass college students we pooled our money & bought it when it came out.

Also, body movin' video (fatboy remix) = classic. So funny.

I hate it when I feel like I'm being "fixed" when I don't think it's necessary. I was just sharing about how I feel bad about something and now I feel worse hearing how I should make it right.
I hear you Katie....what people need to learn is this: People want to have someone to share their thoughts and frustrations with (ie. complaini, bitch, vent, etc.) but that doesn't mean that they want to have the problems they are complaining about fixed or worked on, especially via the advice of others.
- Morgan
Yeah I'm type that will ask directly for advice or help. Otherwise...I'm not very graceful about accepting it

"Beat your meat like it owes you money with the Knuckle Meat Pounder ($13). Fashioned after a set of brass knuckles, it's made from metal -- obviously -- and generally looks menacing while you use it to flatten your food or soften up your steak. May or may not be legal in your jurisdiction, so remember to keep it in the kitchen, okay?"
