I actually thought that was a pic of Alyson Hannigan at first glance. Anyway, happy birthday Hannah...whoever you are.

I used to get the Alyson Hannigan thing all the time actually. Or julianne Moore. Generally the gingers. Thanks for the wishes, Daniel... whoever you are.

Having recently upgraded to a Mac I've found the Dropbox service invaluable to easily porting files between machines. Nowadays I'm using my it as a mounted drive, pushing all my most recent & important files through it (e.g. setting it as my destination drive for all browser downloads). This works well as I often BootCamp into Windows and having those files synced and ready is an example of tech that simply works! :)

Lan to Lan sync sounds neat. I guess it'll sync to the cloud too, so maybe not great for massive amounts of data. Must remember to keep an eye on this though.

I think I'm most looking forward to syncing across iPhone photos to my Mac. Still can't quite believe how useless Bluetooth is on it, and I can't stand the idea of syncing photos over using iTunes.

Never thought of that. I've been using iphoto to sync, but doing it wirelessly via dropbox would be much less painful. The less occasions I have to physically plug my phone in the better.

Well I installed the Air Sharing app just so I didn't need to go through the wired syncing bullshit just to put 1 measly song on my iPhone/iPod. With built in wireless of most Apple products why isn't there a wireless syncing option? If it's a security concern can't you just register your MAC address with iTunes? I guess Apple don't do it because the concept is foreign to most iPod users >:\

"I work with a developer who insists he invented Ajax. Wanker. Anyway, this isn't strictly Ajax, but proves the point that whenever anything uses any sort of GUI manipulating Javascript these days it's immediately proclaimed to be Ajax and "teh bestest evah". Yawn."

"I know IT professionals who aren't techies, so just because someones job mentions "web" or "IT" doesn't mean they do or do not know jack. If only working in the IT industry ensured a certain level of technical knowledge! In the original article's case, it's clear that this is an intelligent writer, rather than a techie one. Let's not confuse the two, eh?"
