A man who doesn't even play video games calling my opinion worthless? Rating Wall-E better than Up is crazysauce!
- Alex Scoble
What Jon said. I loved Wall-E and Eve as characters, but the story wasn't my style. I love Up.
- Derrick
Alex, you speak and act like a child. I cannot tolerate you. Go away.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Well, they both made me cry but that's just because I'm a GIRL.
- Rochelle
Rochelle, me too. Up made me cry the most, though. In the theatre. Behind my 3D glasses.
- joey
Good grief, Akiva. :) I used the word "love". I thought Incredibles was better. Monsters, Inc. was good. I didn't love Up as I thought it was too dark and slow. Wall*E was good but only worth seeing once.
- Louis Gray
Up was the closest I've gotten to crying since Where the Red Fern Grows.
- Jon, the Beartato of FF
I still haven't seen Incredibles, sadly. I need to do that! And I finally saw Cars the other week.
- joey
Oh, good gravy, Gray. Incredibles was like Joe Versus the Volcano. The first act was great; the rest was rubbish. I am scoffing! LOOK AT ME SCOFF.
- Akiva Moskovitz
SCOFF THIS. I AM DELETING MY ACCOUNT. (Can we replay that? I missed it yesterday)
- Louis Gray
Oh yeah, Cars was lame too. Bring it on.
- Louis Gray
LOL I love how Akiva's is resorting to making stuff up about me now. And Akiva, your opinion means less than that of a person who owns Bose now. Dissing Cars is just wrong...it had Michael Schumacher in it...SCHUMACHER!
- Alex Scoble
whoa, I ain't even seen Up yet and I'm kinda doubting that.
- Richard Lawler
I agree with the original sentiment. I mean, I loved Up, and it was really touching, but dang if I don't have a soft spot for cute little robots... :)
- Cheryl Jones
I loved the robots in Wall-E, it was the people I had a problem with.
- Derrick
Wall-e was pretty bad. WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA WALL-E EVA
- Cristo
And I'm not exaggerating that this is probably how many times they said that to each other.
- Cristo
Oh, well, if Cristo doesn't like it then it must be good.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Can I just say that I'm shocked, SHOCKED I SAY, that no one was blocked over this kerfluffle.
- Alex Scoble
Which one?? That harvey didin't see Wall-e?? Or that Akiva likes Wall-e better??
- Roberto Bonini
I'm shocked that this sort of mob-mentality, non-tech-related drivel is ALLOWED! YOU ARE KILLING THE GOLDEN GOOSE WITHYOURSOFTHUMANBRAINS!
- WorldofHiglet
The first 30 minutes of Wall-E were brilliant... apparently, the director had his team watch Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton to get it right. And the sound effects are insanely good.
- T. Brent, technopeasant
"Up" was better... :o) never cried to an animated movie before, - i did to this..
- Jeannette Høvring
I liked Wall-E a *lot* on first viewing it the theater. Now that we have it on DVD and have watched it a dozen or so times with out toddler, I find the first dialogue-less segment fantastic, and the rest of the movie lackluster and cliche. Oh, but it still blows the socks off "Cars"
- Steve "Daddy do it!" Lacy
I was going to leave a standard comment about Wall-E being slightly better than Up, though they're both pretty awesome, but instead I opened up the full thread and I'm backing away... slowly... *retreats into sketchbook*
- Kamilah Gill
Hell no. Up was much better then Wall-E.
- Jason Huebel
hah! It's in the room! It is considered very Pre-beta.. still broken stuff.. but I want to know If I should continue on this path, or make a drastic change.. http://ff.im/4DGzk
- Tim Hoeck
Hi, I'd like to give AndFeed a try!! Sign me up for beta testing, thanks!
- Daniel De Vidi - DvD
Hi Daniel, as soon as I have a new version ready to test, I'll include you.. recently, I've been a bit busy, and haven't been able to work on it.
- Tim Hoeck
I'd love to beta test too! sign me up...
- Dylan Lorimer
Looks amazing. I just need an Android device.
- Zachary TG
@Tim activated my andriod today (HTC Hero) and would _love_ to be able to try out this app. seems you're busy right now - that's cool. just let me know when you have a beta to test and i'd be happy to give you feedback. cheers!
- MikeAmundsen
Yes, I hate that I haven't had time to get back to this.. but I have something a bit bigger planned, we'll see how it pans out... congrats on the phone :)
- Tim Hoeck
@Tim: no problem. now tha FF is kinda on the downslide, i can see that something like this project might need to move to the back burner. the "something bigger" tease is cruel, tho<g>.
- MikeAmundsen
If you're still looking for beta testers, I'd love to give it a whirl.
- James Britt
OMG. This actually ended up in my dream last night.
- Victor Ganata
Okay, this is weird...I'm listening to Sylvester's "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" on last.fm and the alien is throbbing in precise time with the beat.
- Heather
Yeah, yeah, we know. You've got better things to do on a Friday night besides listen to three knuckleheads blather on and on. But hey, at least Steven brought beer. - http://friendfeed.com/random-...
Hey Rach... You know when you posted that picture of me asleep a few months ago and I stated I would get you back for a violation of the right to sleep unphotographed....... I never forget....

Considering you covered me in sand this morning... THE ONE THING I HATE IS BEING SANDY... looks like a sleepless night for the Worthingtons... That shit be grounds for a Hitler Poo Moustache
- Johnny Worthington

and Johnny what does being sandy make you feel like?

The other thing that would improve this: Turn off plain-text auth. Right now it's too easy to post DMs and other information if you have a user's username/password. Force the phishers to scrape the site as the only way they can do this.

When Sarah Palin becomes President will god simply give up and destroy the Universe? Or will Jesus come back, take her roughly by the shoulders and make a right-wing love-child?

Oh man, I should probably prepare for tonight's foray into RTL-land. I wonder what sort of magic awesomeness is in store!
- Jon, the Beartato of FF
One of the surest ways to determine the maturity of someone is to see if they can handle others having a different opinion. If they can't comprehend why someone could possibly like some band or some movie that they don't like, then, well, they've failed.
'The proof is in the pudding!' 'Well I *HATE* pudding!'
- Akiva Moskovitz
Pudding rocks...Your insane..I completely disagree with you....lol
- Bill Heslin
I cannot remember the source of this quote, but: "the older I get, the shorter the time between when I realize that someone is a jackass, and when I tell them they are one."
- DGentry
It gets tougher, however, when someone holds an opinion that diverges from a bedrock truth of yours. Nevertheless, it's important to try to understand those that are wrong - I mean, that have a different view of life.
- John E. Bredehoft
from fftogo
It's mistaking being fierce/strong willed with being intolerant and really just stupid, like you said #FAIL
- sofarsoShawn
I can certainly comprehend the psychological/sociological reasons why some people enjoy racist rap or Nazi death metal or kids programs that teach jihad, but if you ask me to refrain from insulting such taste or ask me to teach my kids to tolerate such obvious insanity, I guess I fail the maturity test. I won't insult a person, but I will insult their evil art.
- Gus
Gus, there's a huge difference between the brainwashing that MEMRI TV delivers and someone being all pissed off because you like Jethro Tull.
- Akiva Moskovitz
MEMRI TV? How about Fox News? Less news, more conspiracy theory.
- Dennis Jernberg
I think this is true in most cases, but some things are just wrong.
- John (a.k.a. dendroica)
Dennis, as soon as FOX News features the equivalent of a Jew-eating Rabbit, I'll buy into your comparison.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Akiva, if someone is OK with your opinion because he/she doesn't care about other people's opinions, does that mean he/she has maturity?
- Brome
Damn... I just realized that if Akiva likes Tull, I have to agree with him again *pout*
- Michael W. May
:-) I was wondering if anyone would go there, Akiva! It's really just first person plural, though, as in "We humans are so silly."
- Kathy Fitch
I've had to fire so many friends based on this criteria alone.
- Sean Oliver
Brome, it means that they're invited to my Solstice Party.
- Akiva Moskovitz
I think I've been fired by some friends for being okay with some other friends' opinions, regardless of my personal comprehension or embracing of them.
- ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
I'm still back on this Josh Haley/Milli Vaniilli thing. Josh, I respect you. (Actually, I didn't say that. Someone else said it and I moved my lips.)
- John E. Bredehoft
OK, we all know that neither Fab nor Rob actually sang on that hit album. I am just saying that the people who DID sing on it and the producers therein really knew what they were doing in cranking out a quality pop album.
- Josh Haley
from iPhone
If you try and think of the things people say more like the sounds of dogs barking, and what they write more like the paths left by insects in tree bark, things make a lot more sense.
- SuezanneC Baskerville
This seems bumpworthy to me for some reason.
- Ken Sheppardson
I think "maturity" isn't necessarily the right term. It's more a measure of stubbornness. It may come from "failing to understand others", I just don't think it the term "maturity" accurately depicts the notion here.
- G. Sigh
I would counter and say that it takes a mature person to just walk away rather than demonstrating epic stubbornness.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Akiva, that sounds like wise council: "Before a quarrel bursts forth, take your leave."
- Melanie Reed
I would also say that it takes a mature person not to troll someone for disagreeing. Both sides can walk away or handle themselves with some kindness.
- joey
I wasn't unkind to him. I was unkind to the girl who blocked our driveway. He's the one tried to make it personal by bringing Audrey into the mix.
- Akiva Moskovitz
I didn't point a finger at a specific person; I think that several people were very unkind to him in that thread from the moment he opened his mouth.
- joey
Oh. I just assumed you were talking about me since this is my thread and all. And also the fact that you hate me!~!
- Akiva Moskovitz
Jimminy, yeah but only to say that he hopes that someone says mean things about her when she does something wrong as a teenager as I was saying mean things about the girl who blocked our driveway so as to teach us a lesson or something.
- Akiva Moskovitz
But I kind of have a policy that if you try to use my daughter as leverage against me in a discussion, the gloves, kid or otherwise, come right off.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Audrey's not a very good lever...she's too short.
- Alex Scoble
But, man, does that girl have some torque.
- Akiva Moskovitz
My point re: the word "mature" is that it's a bit too broad. My 5-year old niece may not exhibit epic stubbornness, but she is not a mature person either. My 70-year old uncle may not agree with me politically, and can be very stubborn, but remains a mature human for whom I have great respect. In other words, we're just painting with too broad a brush here. Mutual respect for one...

- G. Sigh
G. Sigh, I agree. We learn the most about compassion when our heart's been the most broken. The kindness may be there before hand, but our loyalties can sometimes put that compassion out of balance.

I love driving by the alpaca farms in San Diego and Santa Barbara. Those animals are so adorable.
- Anika
Me too, Cecily! We visited a cousin's alpaca farm last month and I was tempted to steal a newborn (would have been more tempted had we not been on the motorcycle).
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
They're just so cuddly looking....with pretty little faces!
- Bonnie Foster
An alpaca on a motorcycle would be something funny!

The Barrens, actually. It's Humar the Pridelord.... a rare elite (lvl 23) that shows up not too far from Ratchet every 10 hours or so... I'd been hunting him for a couple of weeks or so... and he FINALLY was there when I went to check this time! He's the only black lion in the game.
- Her Lindsay-ness
Nice! Gratz! I had to delete him out of my stable earlier this year to make room for Loque'nahak. :( I wish we had more stable slots. I've had to delete more than a few pets I really would have like to have kept...
- tinypants - Hagitha of FF
I really like my dragonhawk, and I still have an owl and a bear but those will probably get replaced once we get to Northrend... I hardly use them anymore. I wanted a kitty for BGs so he can stealth with me.
- Her Lindsay-ness
The dragonhawk is a sweet pet. :) I haven't tamed one of those yet. *eyes full stable with sadness* But yeah, having the cat class for the stealth ability is SO nice. Definitely a bonus for BG's.
- tinypants - Hagitha of FF
@Arlan - I went there several times... hung out for 15 min or so a couple times... the time I got him though he was just already there... I had a wild hair to go see if he was while I was in between quests at Honor Hold. It was so nice to see him laying there when I went over the ridge!

"The problem with our voyeuristic culture, Williams’ intimates, is that we’re constantly consumed with how we are seen. And it’s hard to be ”in the moment when you’re thinking of what it would be like to watch it.” What looks good doesn’t always feel good in practice. Why, a friend of Williams asked, would the man she was dating remove his dick during sex, only to thump her with it? (Who’s been there?!) She knew where he got the idea — did he think she was enjoying it? “Listen, if you’re a professional showing off his stuff for the camera, that sort of thing almost makes sense. Out of context, however, it’s another situation entirely. You know what description you never want a woman you’ve slept with to apply to your sexual technique? ‘Baffling.’”"

Darn, I've always enjoyed it too much to want to stop half way through, take it out and whack it on anything.

Wow, where to begin. I could write a book about this one.
- LANjackal
The funny thing about this article is that the title implies that men were better at sex in the past. In fact, many pre-sexual revolution women will tell you they weren't. The only thing that's changed is the directionality of the transgression
- LANjackal
Comments on the misconceptions: 1) Actually nowadays very few videos even show bother to depict female orgasm. It's all about the guy. But then again most videos also show the guy going down on the girl, which you can bypass IRL. I've met only a handful of girls who demanded it 2) Of course they don't. But they know they're expected to. This is good. Makes things more fun for me, which...

But whoever said porn was useless for real sex has never seen actual instructional videos stars put out every now and then. I'm a visual learner, and text articles by actual sexperts on how to properly finger and eat just never worked for me, because in the actual situation I'd seriously be like "Ok so ... damn what did that paragraph say again?" I highly recommend the "How to Eat ****y Like a Champ" video you can find on various adult torrent sites
- LANjackal
But seriously, the best thing to do as a guy when you're at it is simply to ask her "hey what makes you cum, baby?" Most girls - unless they've never had an orgasm before, and I've only met 2 who hadn't - will tell you. Listen. Then do it. Then have her finish you off. Everyone wins. Yay.
- LANjackal
As for "shaved pussies", sorry but that is really not even a question. That's one area I will put my foot down on. I've literally told a girl "WTF OMG" when I noticed she wasn't and quit. It's not an option.
- LANjackal
